Make it so the tube can be removed

If I'm zooming in to see what the projection would look like from above, the tube gets in the way. The one I'm hoping to review is L-spine. Also adding the standing versions would be helpful because in practice, we don't do all spine projections on the table.

Positions are missing ?

Hi my name is Yvely I find this app extremely useful but some of the positions are not shown such as some erect spine positions at the Bucky like the fuchs. Could this please be updated ? I would like to see qualified views in supine and erect as it is extremely important for a student to have a well rounded understanding of each procedure. Thank you

Malfunctions

Downloaded the app went to pay for the subscription and app stopped working. Deleted and tried to redownload and it won’t allow me to redownload it.

A great app for students!!

I like to look at this app on my free time at clinicals. It helps me to be better prepared for my next xray comp. Especially since I’m at a hospital where we don’t see much. I do wish there were trauma views though. That would be so helpful!

Not free

You can download it free but every projection is locked behind a paywall, all you can do for free is look at the empty xray room. Just make the app cost money instead of tricking people

Almost good.

Love the idea and need it for my studies but almost every time you open the app, the X-ray room is blank, (no table, tube, Bucky….etc) and even if you select a projection, nothing shows up until you close the app and start again.
The option to take away equipment would be great, having to zoom in to clear the X-ray tube almost every time is annoying. For the price, I don’t think it’s too much to ask

Would no recommend

This app hasn’t work properly since I bought it, it doesn’t load and I cant see anything for some reason

Would not recommend

I bought this as a quick reference for image analysis. However a LOT of projections don’t have X-rays connected to them and a lot of the X-rays are not SUPER great either. There are some good features but it isn’t worth $15. Severely disappointed

3 stars

This is helpful to an extent. The CR positioning is not correct on some of these as well as the collimation. It’s useful as far as learning or doing a quick review on positioning but it could be way better with some tweaks.

Great app to study basic RadTech exams but

Just recently purchased subscription to help study for board exam. It is very helpful to see an estimated DR technique range for all the procedures on this app because a lot of us new techs in school struggle with setting techniques or knowing them because film and speed screens are if they haven’t already become obsolete.
However, the pelvis section does not include inlet and outlet procedures.
I also suggest to add clinical indications for each view/procedure. Also possibly adding fluoroscopy procedures and surgical C-arm exams would be beneficial as well.

Amazing

I am returning to practice as an radiographer after 12 years of gap and this application is helping me to remember and review the new techniques. It is very informative for every radiographer. I would strongly recommend to all colleagues in the field. And price is reasonable really.

Buggy

I enjoyed this app until it stopped showing the patient for the positioning. Now you can only reference the text. Wish I could get my money back on it.

Response from developer

Well, unlike Covid, software does not ‘suddenly’ mutate and stops working. We have not released an update recently so the only logical explanation is that this is a bug that comes from a different source. So it’s not fair to blame our software for something that we are not responsible for. Food for thought.

Trash

This app is garbage. Don’t waste your time.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. Perhaps this app is not for you. However, thousands of users have downloaded our great app and found it useful.

Update ruined everything

Used to be great, I have IRAD Tech APP also and always find myself going to that one instead since It is more user friendly, has all the proper notes and projections free of clutter and nothing that needs to be purchased on your window.

The New update blocks some of the positions when swiping the window down to visualize the projection. When you X off the slide down window the notes are now limited, used to be way more notes and instructions and techniques. I purchased your app and now a 3D mode is available. That should be included with the initial purchase. It’s very annoying to have that constantly in your way as well if it’s not something I want to purchase. That should be in a setting section or someplace else. Hopefully this helps the developers so something can be fixed otherwise I would reccomend getting IRADTECH instead. I have purchased all 3 apps so far Xray needs work but the CT, and MRI are great.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. iRad Xrays has revolutionized the way Radiography is being taught in Universities with the new 3D and Augmented Reality (AR) views. It has become the #1 (radiography) selling app on the AppStore. All customers benefit of updates (to keep the app running all these years), but new technologies (as one would expect) are introduced at very low prices (in-app purchases) to support the continued research and development of the app. All content of previous versions has been updated/corrected and new content has been added (NOT removed, in any way). Please contact our support team if you have any questions about using the app, as it seems that you’re missing key elements in the functionality.

Missing pictures

Helpful descriptions of proper positioning and criteria for image evaluation but there’s many pictures that have “coming soon”. Also it’d be nice to have an anatomy side to it as well. Not just imaging.

Great app!

Bought this app mainly for identifying the anatomy for each x-ray so it is great for that. As other reviews have mentioned, there are a few pictures that day coming soon, so that's one downside bc i dunno when it'll be updated, but for the most kart I'd say this is a really helpful and detailed app!

Missing images

More than a quarter of the images referenced say, “image coming soon”. I think one year was enough time.

best

money well spent!
