User reviews

ID confirmation WAAAY too slow

This app is a great idea but fails to keep users engaged and is a dispiriting experience for many as ID confirmation can take many months or longer.

Alternative apps, like iNaturalist, that allow community input provide confirmation within days, often hours. I uploaded two correct IDs to iRecord. Months later only one has been confirmed. It doesn’t encourage you to keep using it. I’ve decided not to bother any more, which is a shame as I manage a lot of ecological gardens with tons of creatures I frequently photograph. If people like me are being put off, something is wrong.

This system could only work well if the network of people who confirm IDs is hugely expanded from the tiny number who are currently allowed to.
