Stupid

Why have two isolator switches on the front page!!! It is too easy to accidentally turn one off when having a quick look while driving. Thanks for another freezer of food in the bin iTech

Car play

CarPlay is a nice feature, unfortunately it will not update the data on car play without you connecting you iphone to the battery via the app. Otherwise it only shows data from the last time you connected you phone to the battery

Strong Turnaround

After some initial issues with what felt like a premature release, the app has improved significantly over several updates.

It’s now working very well, with good insights and a clean layout. Credit to the team for turning things around so quickly.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback and apologies for the frustration caused by the initial release. We identified and fixed the password validation issue shortly after launch and an update addressing this was released within 24 hours. The app now also includes Guest Mode, which allows you to connect to your devices over Bluetooth without creating an account if you prefer. Thanks again for the feedback as we continue improving the app.

Widgets useless

What’s the point of a widget if it doesn’t automatically update?? I shouldn’t have to go into the app for it to connect and update the data. This also applies to the notifications

Hi Mitch, Thanks for the feedback. Because the battery data is read directly over Bluetooth, the app must remain running in the background to receive updates. If the app is closed or swiped away from the app switcher, iOS will stop the Bluetooth connection and the widget and notifications will no longer update. Opening the app again will reconnect to the battery and update the widget. Thanks again for the feedback as we continue improving the app. Unfortnately this is due to iOS background restrictions — widgets cannot maintain a constant Bluetooth connection on their own.

Why do we suddenly need to login?

App upgrade looks good but why do we suddenly need to login everytime we open the app? Are we going to be able to login when we are off grid with no phone reception?

The app has an offgrid mode and also in the latest version a guest mode feature so you can bypass the login entrely.. You can test it out by putting your phone into airplane mode and turning off wifi. You will never loose access to the app if you dont have internet.

App issues

The new app doesn’t work can we please have the old one as an option? Just got back from 3 days away and have no idea of my battery status in my work ute. Guess I’ll just have to charge it so I know I’m starting the week at 100%

Initially I left 1 star because I was unable to create the profile and access my batteries. This has since been resolved and the update is a great improvement over the old version. Having the ability to add widgets on my Home Screen is great!

Upgrade needs an upgrade

App was working great before, but after upgrade, I can’t enter a password that it says I need to. Have tried 3 times now.

New app

The new app will not let me open an old account or setup a new one.
The app keeps saying that there is not enough characters in the password.
I have tried the ‘forgot my password’ function many times but as of yet have not received an email from itech , even though they can still send me advertising material.
We just purchased another two 160Xpro batteries to add to our setup and now cannot set them up or monitor our other batteries without the app working.
Rapid response to getting the app working again would be greatly appreciated.

Time to get your act together iTechworld. Whatever the update that was done today has now left me unable to access my battery to see how much charge it has you need to get this fixed and get it fixed now.

App doesn’t work can’t make an account, why do we even need an account? All I want to do is check my battery

Disappointing app data

How easy would it have been to give some indication when the battery is in Safe Mode - we have had nothing but trouble with our iTech battery (and MPPT), and the app is another disappointment on top of our general iTech experience. Victron gear has the capacity to give history and trends in a graph, which is incredibly useful data. This battery app isn’t particularly helpful when you really need data on Safe Mode status … please, iTech, consider adding that into the app if the BMS is so clever then surely it can tell us when it’s in Safe Mode or not!?

Great to have but needs work

Agree with other comments, needs work. Misleading SOC and caused me to flatten battery because I trusted it and didn’t check voltage. Frustrating that it doesn’t auto reconnect when within Bluetooth range. Look forward to an update and I’ll increase stars. For now, standard system supplied with van is more accurate.
