Dead - no longer supported

It doesn't work on iOS 8.4 and iPhone. Too bad, I've been using it for years and like it.

Response from developer

Hello, I am happy to announce that we will release a version 5 of iTimeSheet with new features, support of iOS26, liquid glass ... It has been heavily tested and we will soon add support for macOS app, Apple Watch and widgets. Hope you'll love it.

Does not load since last Apple update

I used to love this program but on my iPhone 5 it does not load anymore. It asks me if I would like to report this but it shuts down before that can happen. I gave them weeks and still no change. If I clear this I loose all my historical records, then again they are probably already gone.

Response from developer

Hell, Sorry to read that. As an indie developer I carried iTimeSheet during more than 18 years. I am happy to announce that we will release a version 5 of the app with new features, support of iOS26, liquid glass ... Hope you'll love it.

Huge disappointment

I used the free version for 2 years. Should have stuck with that. This app crashes, will not let me edit. Buying this app was a waste of my money. I'm so disappointed.

Response from developer

Hello Nateiv, Sorry to read that. As an indie developer I carried iTimeSheet during more than 18 years. I am happy to announce that we will release a version 5 of the app with new features, support of iOS26, liquid glass ... Best of all, it is compatible with your previous database. Hope you'll love it.

2 bugs in 4.0.1

I started using your app a month ago and am happy, except 2 annoying bugs.

1) When opening an expense listing which has been entered, the "Description" files is locked and can't be edited.
2) When entering expenses field "Description", clicking DONE and SAVE, the Description field appears as empty in the expense overview- AND the expense amount its rounded up to the next dollar, e.g. 4, instead of 3.80

Can you please fix these two and let me know when I can update?

Very useful app

We use this app to manage our time for our service techs. Very user friendly and easy to navigate!

I would like to recommend that a toggle be added to make a job complete/incomplete and be able to pull up the jobs still incomplete.

Can't save anything in tasks

This app looks great but when I try to change hours or anything on a task it does not save! Completely useless. These guys need to figure it out..

I really like it!

I like the graphic and that is easy to use!

Awesome app

This app is awesome!!!! The only thing I would like is to show the pause included for the iphone4. My workers who have the 3G(s) version have it. Definitely worth the $.

Very Good TIme Management App!

I read all the reviews and downloaded the lite version. It was indeed lite, but the interface was easy to use and intuitive. I ran it on an iTouch V2 with OS 4.0.1 with no problems and saw none of the problems previously mentioned. I took a chance and have since bought the full version and am now running on an iPhone 3G with OS4.0.1. Getting ready to upgrade to 4.1 so let's hope it continues to work. Everything works great, the projects and tasks are very easy to create and the time reporting is easy to do. Does not take much time away from your activity and the reporting appears to be solid. A couple of nice to haves:

- Expenses section: allow to create an item for mileage with the allowed per mile/km amount.
I may be able to do this with the current setup, but since the expenses look for an hourly
rate rather than a per mile/km rate it's not straightforward.

- Migration capability between the lite and full version: I had to reenter all my data
for the past 3 days. With a longer test time and hence larger implementation this would
take awhile.

I haven't tried the Backup, Export or Data Management capabilities as yet, but I am not expecting any issues related to the app. All in all I am very happy with this app thus far and am looking forward to using this in my new position.

New update does work on my older iphone

I bought this app and used it for several months. When the update came out I updated it and it no longer works. I am running a 1st gen phone running on ver 3.1.3. When the app loads it shows the screen for about a second and then goes back to the home screen. I have restored my phone, reinstalled and ran the app with no other apps on the phone. Nothing works! The developer site gives no help at all. No support info and they state do not email them for support. I was happy with the previous version and wish I had not upgraded. At this point I can NOT recommend this product. What a shame. Maybe it works on iOS 4, it does not on iOS 3.1.3. I want the old version back but can't find a way to get it.

As of August 31 the app works again. The update released on the 30th did fix my problem. Data was still there, and I am happy. I still am not happy with the support/developer site however. Therefore I can only give it a 4 star. When it works it is a very good program. but I will be very hesitant to update again.

Update

Ok. When a good comment needs to be said, I'll say it. I'm running this app on a iPhone 3GS running OS4.0.2. Up until a few months ago, I loved it. Then, not so much. Couldn't get it to back up or restore. Never had crash problems. Developer took some time off to get married. Congrats to him. It was around the time I desperately needed to back up and restore, due to "genius" saying just restore your iPhone. I almost lost all my data.... so I was ticked. Developer back from honeymoon, and back on the case. New version works perfectly for me. Runs perfect, backs up perfectly and ..... restores perfectly. Now... I'm on may way back to the Apple Store to wrestle with another Genius, but now I know I have my iTimesheet data backed up and can restore it. It works on a 3GS perfectly. Have no input on a iPhone 4 but it works on a 3GS running OS4.0.2 with NO problems. Thanks for the update and continuing customer service. Hint: Just let all us users know if you're going to be out of touch for a short while. We freelancers live and die on our iTimesheet.

Have high hopes

I have used a Palm based phone for years (and a Palm Pilot before that), and had an application for keeping my time when I did work for customers. I got this for the iPhone and it looks very promising to be able to replace what I was using on the Palm. I like the interface, and searching or reviewing previously entered tasks seems convenient and easy. I was having to cable my Palm to sync the data before, but this app sends me an email with an Excel formatted file attachment - also very convenient. I would recommend this app for tracking time on a mobile device if your device is an iPhone.

The best I have found so far.

Sorry that I have to rewrite this whole review, but the app store is no longer allowing the users to modify prior reviews.

The only things that I would change on this app are:

1. Have the potential to create a default database of tasks and projects. As it stands now, I have to create a Default (dummy) client and put all task information into that client. Then, before I enter any information with respect to an actual client, I have to copy the information from the Default client into every client I am going to enter data for that day. It's not very efficient.

2. Have an option for non-time related expenses such as postage or filing fees. Understanding that this is primarily a timesheet program, allowing people to capture expenses would be great.

3. Modify the manner in which the data exports with regard to time. Currently the program exports the data in the form 0h48. Unfortunately, Excel requires the export to be in the following form 0:48 so that the user can manipulate it. I can work around the problem by exporting the start and end times, rather than duration, but it would be nice to have the data export into a format that Excel can actually use.

Other than these points (and I hope I don't think of any others, because I really don't want to have to write this review again!!), this is an outstanding app.

A very useful app!

I started out with the lite version & liked this app so much I purchased the full app. Im just a blue collar worker servicing 1/2 a dozen accounts a day within 100 miles of my plants location. I was having problems with overtime because my work load had been increased but I was expected to stay under 40 hours because the supervisors "thought" a certain service call "should" only take so much time. Using iTimesheet I was able to track my complete day from clocking in to work, arrivals & departures at clients, lunch breaks & clocking out at the end of the day. I then exported all this info to excel & after a couple of months I was able to complie all this information to help my company stop the guess work concerning how long it should take to service a client & make us more efficient by showing the actual service times. This created an average that we now use to determine labor cost & service charges. I came out smellin' like a rose!

Great app, but would like a little more.

This app has been great for my work as i have to job cost all of my time. I would like to see a pc version that can sync w/ this app. Sometimes i listen to music on other apps (instead of ipod function) like pandora and have to turn the music off every time i need to log a new task.

Additionally, it would be helpful to have the option to create a master list of tasks that can be used for any project. I have many tasks that i must recreate every time in a new project. Its a little annoying.

Other than that, this app works perfectly. Absolutely worth the price.

Amazing App, worth the price

This application is amazing and changed my way to manage my time. iTimeSheet is complete (search, navigation by week or month, analytics, etc.) and extensible (export to Excel). I also appreciate the user interface which is easy to use and fully customizable. The database backup is a MUST HAVE for whoever uses this kind of application. You don't want to lose your data because you broke your iphone are accidentally delete the app. Last but not least, teh developers are really active, 2 upgrades or more per month. Each upgrade integrates features requests from users which make the software even better. By the way, they have a pretty good video on their website, have a look at it.

Great but with a Flaw...

First: Congratulation for a very polished App. The feature of keeping Projects belonging to Clients not showing up in other Clients list and at the same time having the Task list being share by all Client (plus the ability to Copy or Move any of them between Lists) is brilliant. Our problem is with the Timer. We are a project team working on CAD development products. During a typical working day we manage several projects, meetings, training etc. We are now able, with our iPhones, to keep track of all this with an iPhone App called Time Tracker. In iTimeSheet the timer is based on the difference between Start and Finish time while on Time Tracker time is logged as a Stop Watch. What it means is that when we work on multiple projects we Stop one and Start the other, the Stop again and go back to the previous or another or a Meeting or Training session for some of our team members etc. In iTimeSheet is not possible to record accumulative times intervals because the internal timer it's not recording actual time spent on the task "on demand" but on a fixed Start and a Final end-time. If we work on Project "abc" for 1 hour and the stop for 2 hours and then work an additional 3 hours again on "abc" the total is 6 hours because the timer it is only aware of Start and Finish. To bypass this limitation we have to add every time a New entry = Time consuming + large Lists and Reports. It would be also very useful to see a list of Today's Projects and which one is being timed (open) so that from the list you can Stop one Project and Start another. We are able to do so in Time Tracker but we really like some of the Features of iTimeSheet and we feel that the Developer has a vision way better than the competition. We now own iTimeSheet but we will be able to use it if these changes are in the Wish-List some how. Than You.

Good app that keeps getting better... and better...

I like it... It works the way I do. Easy to use. Handles multiple clients and projects. I use a different PC application for billing hours, so I like that the app can email me a CSV file when it's time to bill. There is a review from an early release that suggests that support could be questionable. I've found exactly the opposite. The author has done a great job of updating this app and incorporating suggestions from users. I can't think of a single App Store author that has been more responsive to this customers. Well done JF Grang

Worth the price in spades...

My current job is the first time I started using iTimeSheet and in one job it's paid for itself many times over -literally. 1) I'm an illustrator so I work between home and studio a lot, so no more sheet's of paper to transport, just plug the info into my iPhone and my time sheet goes anywhere with me. 2) I sometimes sketch or draw when waiting and lost that billlable time. No longer. 3) The ability to have make an electronic time sheet while I'm working, and export it to a file I can validate my hours would have saved me LOTS of issues with some previous...itchy clients. 4) Even if the previous are of no use to you, my worst problem was keeping track of the hours I worked. Not just because of the actual keeping track of hours, but keeping track of the actual piece of paper. This is probably one of my most useful apps on my iPhone, so much so that it's on my main first screen. I use it that much.

EXACTLY what I've been waiting for!!!

Every other time / task application all but required me to press a button to start a timer. This is NOT how I work. I want to be able to enter my time spent with clients and tasks at the end of the day, and I don't necessarily want to track every minute. iTimeSheet is nearly perfect, and is exactly waht I was about to develop for myself. At this price, with these features, I won't even bother. For those of you who need to track time and effort working on projects funded by multiple sources (especially government grants) this is a killer app.
