Are the positive reviews bought?

I’m trilingual and I tried this for my husband to use at work. It broke immediately. Cannot handle him and me speaking in russian or japanese.

Why pay? Used to be free

Why should i have to pay a subscription to use this? It used to be free.

Doesn’t stay on

It doesn’t capture a conversation. I’ve missed so many things trying to push the button over and over again during a conversation. It doesn’t stay on

Doesn’t work when you need it.

I am English speaking and am currently visiting Paris France. I know a little French but thought it would be useful to set up this app for when I was here and got set up with the free trial. Every time I used it to help me figure out a word or phrase or talk to anyone it misunderstood every word. I can’t speak for any other language, but when it comes to French you’re better off using Duolingo or translate, or just asking the person if they speak your language.
