I wish someone could give me a LOGICAL explanation as to why we would need to do a background check for a vue where all you do is walk around a parking lot to take pics for $8. Get real.

Support sucks and the pay isn’t that good anyways
First, I can make double for the same/less work for assignments on other apps similar to this one. Secondly, the support team is very unhelpful. They treat things labeled as suggestions as rules, the whole help center is kind of spammy in their design, and worst yet, they will attempt to get you to break the law via trespassing just to complete their assignments. I swear, their support team is the most useless gig app support team ever. They’ll say something one day like “please resubmit the assignment so I can escalate it to my manager” or “I’ll add a note. Please resubmit so it can be passed” only to have the same assignment back in your to-do’s the next day as a reject/reshoot. I lowkey don’t know how these people haven’t been sued for encouraging their workforce to break trespassing law

Reduced Rates
I’m an elite vuer and appreciate the extra money, but seems everything is basically $7 now, which makes me way less motivated to grab orders that are just 1or 2 of them. Gas prices are too high for this. I know you like to pitch it like you can do these “on your way” to something, but you need to be for real and let the data show 90% or more of your users plan their day around this. We try to get as many as possible in the area, not whatever is “on the way” while I’m out and about.

Their team especially “Meredith” is an absolute liar. They will mislead you and underpay you.
So where do I begin? I have been using this platform on and off for a couple years and I’m gonna give you a completely honest review. First of all any positive reviews that you see on here are false and they do offer incentives for leaving a review such as bonuses and etc. they underpay drastically. A lot of their jobs are in very unsafe areas and unsafe conditions and no, you will not get compensated more. A lot of the times they drop the ball. They don’t have the right information the wrong address, wrong gate code, and countless other errors. They will hold you accountable for small mistakes or things that you were aware of, but will not hold themselves accountable. If you want your time wasted, then I suggest that you use this platform. There are several other platforms when you google this type of work, there are much better. Out of all of the gig apps on this App Store, they are by far the worst if I can give them zero stars, I absolutely would.

User friendly
Ongoing issues with application not showing elite viewers open Vue’s, while allowing other elite vuers to see open vues. I have reported this to Ivuet app and to the company itself but nothing has been done to correct the issue. Connectivity issues in the field also in uploading vues have always been an issue and app crashing.

Not worth your time (scam)
This seems like a great idea and a fun way to make some extra cash. My experience was very different and extremely disappointing. I spent over an hour and wasted my own gas to complete several of these and I never got paid for my work. Each one was “rejected” or “failed” but I was not notified until much later when it was already too late to fix. Their customer service was responsive but not helpful. I was essentially told “thank you for your understanding” but this did not pay me for my time.

Contractor Time and Safety not taken Seriously
As an independent contractor, I was disappointed with my experience. I was told that the property I photographed was the wrong house and was required to return to the location, resulting in over 40 miles of additional driving. After returning, it became clear that the original house was actually the correct property.
The property was severely fire damaged, making verification difficult. I even provided photos of neighboring house numbers to help confirm the location, but my concerns were dismissed in favor of Google images. Because of this, I had to revisit the site and was placed in an uncomfortable situation with neighbors who did not want photos taken near their property.
Contractors should be able to rely on reasonable address verification and have their onsite observations taken seriously. I hope the company improves its review process so other contractors do not face unnecessary travel, lost time, and potential safety concerns.

Waste of time
This app is glitchy and the customer service when things go wrong is non-existent. You’ll take the pictures for them and then they will say your submission failed and refuse to pay you or offer any help at all. Such a scam. Yesterday, I took 30+ pictures and filled out the survey for a local building on my lunch break hoping to make a few extra dollars. I submitted it and it tried to load, and tried and tried and tried. I don’t have internet issues, everything else was working fine. I refreshed the app and it was just slowly loading. I had an hour and a half before the item was due so I went back to work and assumed it would load in or at least they would have record that I completed it. I open my phone to a notification later that it failed and would be available to me in 72 hours. I clicked the help option and the people on the other end (if they are people) only responded with “be sure to submit it on time next time. Thanks for understanding!” They don’t respond when I explain that I did submit it on time. They don’t respond to the screenshot I sent of it processing after I submitted it. They ask for the pictures I took - which are locked in the app and inaccessible to me, which they should KNOW. I’ve contacted 4 different avenues for customer service and got the same result with each one. I wasted my lunch break yesterday, I’ve wasted much more time trying to get help with no avail, and I feel they got what they wanted then scammed me out of the promised pay.

Not bad if desperate
I found this app through a friend when I fell on tough times. For me it was super awkward at first, just taking photos of someone’s house, neighbors stare, sometimes the people even came out of the house upset and wanted to know why I was there, as inconspicuous as I tried to be.
I was always paid within a 24 hour window no problem, few rejections. I have just the basic account.

Unfair
I have been working for this app and there has been several times I have drove out to a location and completed a vue and then the app takes long to upload the vue and next thing you know your vue has been failed because it wasn’t completed in time even though the app was taking a long time to upload them. I don’t understand why there is not a feature on the app so when the time frame is up for a vue that any vue in progress of being uploaded is not failed. In these situations my vues have failed lowering my success percentage, I was not paid even though the vue was completed and I wasted gas and mileage driving to the vue location and then the vue admins won’t help you. My rating dropped from a 99% to 89% because of this do Inno longer think I’ll be working for this app!

IVueit Misrepresents assignments to get out of paying you
Third time now. They post jobs with wrong address and wrong business names. Seems a way to get out of paying you for your work. Even when you bring it to their attention the discrepancy in location or business name - 7 months later you can see they continue with their ‘oversight’.

I’ve completed photo audits through iVueit since 2016and appreciate the quick payment processing. However, I’d like to raise a few significant concerns.
First, the app’s connectivity handling creates a problematic workflow: when signal is limited, upload buffering forces users into airplane mode workarounds, but without real-time feedback on missing shots, users risk returning to locations multiple times after driving considerable distances.
Second, the AR measurement tool requires near-perfect conditions to function reliably, which doesn’t match real-world assignment scenarios.
Third, bug fixes and app improvements move at an unusually slow pace—issues that materially impact contractor workflow remain unresolved for extended periods.
Fourth, certain assignment types—nighttime bank photography and residential occupancy verification—place contractors in situations where they may appear suspicious to law enforcement or intrude on residents during financial distress.
Fifth, account management lacks basic flexibility: changing a phone number requires creating an entirely new account and repeating the background verification process through third-party providers, even if your email and identity remain unchanged. This creates unnecessary friction and duplicate compliance costs for contractors managing multiple phone numbers.
I’d welcome a conversation about how iVueit could address these operational, technical, and safety gaps.

I got stopped by police
The manager of the gas station I was supposed to take pictures for called the police on me. I showed the officer I was contracted to do a job but no one at the gas station was notified of what was going on. Also, the support on this app does not help workers, they help themselves. Terrible company
Steaming garbage
I promised I’d be here, Meredith!!! BOOO! You guys need to do something about an option to cancel all vues without a penalty IFF you’re going to cancel them on your end for any reason the day that we plan to go do them. It said it was past close out but yet I could claim it? And I’M taking the hit for it? The one canceled was $20 of the 48 I was to earn today. I can’t go an hour away for half of the pay with these gas prices. But now IVUEIT says I have to unclaim the other vues myself and be penalized. When it’s out of our hands, there should be another option. I have done thousands of these. This is a joke.

Honest Review
I have worked for this company for the past 5 years and I can say now I officially quit. I will not keep putting myself through the headache and waste of time, money, and gas just for an assignment not to submit. Despite them constantly updating the app, they still haven’t created an alternative way to submit pictures/videos for when service is lost or it won’t submit. Please don’t do those $7 occupancy checks unless you want your life at risk everytime. Simply not worth the hassle anymore since gas is $5 and most assignments are $7-$8.
