IwordQ uk

Thank you, this is going to open up the world of a severely dyslexic 13 year old. She will now be able to start doing some real school work

Two suggestions
1. Can we have a further option for phonically sounding out as you type.

2. Coloured filtering for irlen,

This is epic!

Brilliant it's finally here, but can still be improved

I need this app for my 8 1/2 year old dyslexic and dysorthographic daughter. She will now be able to produce written material for school without pulling her hair out, as well as having written documents read out to her without getting disoriented and losing the plot (literally).
I was able today to show her teachers what WordQ is about, before having to purchase the PC version. Very good, thank you.
Here are a few points where the five stars would be well and truly earned:
- Think of Irlen Syndrome and make different background colours available, pale blue in my daughter's case. The bog standard black, white etc simply don't cut it for people suffering from visual stress: the background jumps out while the letters dance.
- Allow for OpenDyslexic, various D'nealian and even Comic fonts. The choices are good, but not enough for dyslexics, especially those who reverse letters.
- Allow for custom letter spacing (see Dys app) as it is proven to help with crowding. Line spacing can be changed, why not allow letter spacing? Stretching out words, not chunks of text increases decoding, reading speed and comprehension.
- Allow in app purchase of different languages, rather than letting versions run separately. I need the French version (when that's ready) and am going to have to split my daughter's documents, she attends a bilingual school.
- Allow for folders so documents can be clearly labelled (again, dys sufferers need easy obvious access to documents).
We can't ask for the Moon as this is the first version and it is already brilliant to have this for iPad, but hey, there is always room for improvement!

Many thanks
