Good community, bad app

So many bugs that I’ve ignored for the past while, but now I’m unable to access the app at all, all it shows is a white screen.

Thanks for the report. Are you using a jailbroken phone? If so, we unfortunately do not allow them to access Javelin due to the nature of us handling payments. Apologies.

Bad app

The organizers have no idea what they’re doing and they have too many people per games plus people only play with their friends and don’t play with the other others that come out

Good when it works but most of the time I can’t even load into it. Also been experiencing crashes

Unreliability

App doesn’t load reliably. Will cycle stating that the app is up to date but won’t fully load until phone has been restarted multiple times.

Makes it very difficult to register and cancel spots.

They have to many players at the games & you just sit for over half the time. Will not recommend or go back

App won’t open bug??

App is good for quick signup and instant messaging about court details but only when the app is working properly…. I got the app a few weeks ago and everything was working fine. This week I’ve been getting notifications from the app but when I click on the msgs, the app freezes on the loading screen… I tried closing and restarting the app, restarting my phone and tried deleting the app to reinstall. It worked after reinstalling and I managed to signup for another drop in. But, I’m now locked out again..

Very glitchy app and arbitrary rules

The app is very bad and not user friendly. Glitches a lot. Game hosts are fine, but will get banned in the app for no reason and the creators refuse to provide reasoning or more context

Horrible People, Awful Games

The games are for mostly MALE, STRONG VB players w ego issues who want to be BIG FISH IN SMALL POND.

1. The games are organized by people who want to play FREE games. They have no organizational skills and are mostly kids who have no business organizing a game for 21 people. Unorganized, inefficient and chaotic.

2. The recreational games have groups of friends who join, play on a team and only pass to each other, set for each other and play other people’s balls. Even though others pay the same amount, spend time and energy to be there for a game.

3. High rec or intermediate players join and play Recreational games and then are annoyed or impatient with people who are ACTUALLY at recreational level. Javelin does NOTHING to correct this. If anything these high rec players change the level of the games to only allow stronger players.

In conclusion: this app is not for those who want to play a friendly game to get some exercise and have some social fun. It’s for mostly MALE groups of strong players who are not willing to play higher level games and ruin rec level games for others.

Great app and development team

Thank you to this app, I was able to find pick up volleyball games with some great people and good atmosphere. Recommended to 3 friends already and they love it too.

Great Volleyball App

The app makes finding and booking drop-in games super easy. Takes the hassle out of organizing games as everything is set-up in the app, you just show up and play. Very convenient app and a great way to play more volleyball.

Can’t join any games… black screen issue

Some friends and I have tried to join several games on different dates that clearly show empty spots, but when we click “Join Game” after uploading our payment method it sends us to a perpetual black screen. Not sure if this is a bug. We’ve tried closing/re-opening the app and deleting/re-downloading…

Amazing app for volleyball

I’ve been using this app for half a year now but it’s been amazing to use and find games for me and my friends! Highly recommend this if you’re looking into playing some volleyball or wanting to learn!

Getting back to volleyball!

I randomly found this app while looking for community drop in volleyball. I was curious to see what it entails so it downloaded it and over a year later I am so glad that I did. It helped me connect with so many different. Volleyball runs and I met so many great new people in my community. I highly recommend this app to anybody that I know that plays volleyball. I hope that it expands into different areas and hopefully different sports as well!
