What's New in Jazzbooks Streaming

2.0.9

July 13, 2026

- Re-encoded the entire catalog in high quality m4a for superior sound quality. - Added over 300 missing songs from limited edition versions. - Fixed touch controls on practice tools where iOS gestures would sometimes close the expanded tools instead of allowing you to adjust the sliders. - Added track variant labels e.g. (Slow) or (Lower) - Fixed default profile image bug that sometimes caused an API loop. - Fixed a random login issue on some iOS devices. We appreciate your support and feedback and hope you continue to enjoy the streaming app.

Bugs, bugs and more bugs.

I went so badly to love this app. It should be easy! After not being able to pull up volume 129, I just searched song by song to create a Christmas playlist when I was nearly done the playlist disappeared, and I wasn’t able to see any songs or any history. It also seemed to me that I was not able to rearrange songs within a playlist. Simple stuff that would be easy to fix! How frustrating.

Response from developer

We hear you, and honestly, we completely agree with your assessment. Our intentions were good, but our execution fell short of what you deserved. We’ve spent the last few months rebuilding the app from the ground up specifically to fix the stability issues you mentioned, like disappearing playlists and song organization. Your feedback was a huge motivator for us to get this right. We just released a brand-new version in the App Store today (and a new website last month) that we believe is finally worthy of the catalog. To make it even more user-friendly, we added a Volumes feature that lets you quickly navigate through every volume in the catalog. We’d love for you to give us one more shot. If you have any feedback, including wish-list items, please use the feedback tool within the app or on the website. Thank you.

Two Many Bugs for the Price

I want to love this app. It is a great idea that could introduce this incredible backing track catalog to a new generation of aspiring improvisors but it is way to buggy, especially given the subscription cost. Please make this useable asap. I am considering cancelling my subscription. Happy to edit my review when the app is stable!

Response from developer

We know it’s been a long time coming, but we’ve finally realized the vision you described in your 2024 review. To honor our catalog and the improvisers who use it, we spent countless hours completely gutting and rebuilding the app for total stability. Version 1.3 is a thing of the past, our brand-new version 2.0 launched today, and the new website has been live for a month. We’d be honored if you gave us another look to see how far we've come.

Nice App

I’m glad this became available because the library is extensive. There are still bugs to work out such as registration from the app front page to user friendliness for iPad to activating the rewind/fast forward buttons.

Response from developer

Thank you for the kind words. We just released a new version 2.0 that is a major improvement over previous versions. It includes native iPad support, so the user interface should look and feel better than ever.

Aebersold LEGENDARY, App VERY BUGGY

I love to practice with the great Aebersold Playalongs. Sadly the app is full of bugs, so every time it is very frustrating to use it!! I payed money for the subscription…

Love it

The entire catalog in a streaming app. This is great!
