User reviews

I don’t recommend

This app really needs improvements, I tried to train with it but I think I’m making progress. It can make you guess the same notes many times in a row, I feel like I am wasting my time

No landscape view

Whats that more than annoying?

Yes tough. Because I don‘t know any musician who has their iPad installed upright. So it is unusable in most Setups. Yes my iPad is obligatory fixed horizontally.

Response from developer

One star for the landscape view? That was tough! 😃 You’re absolutely right though, we will make the landscape mode available in a future update.

Great concept, unreliable scoring

Great app. Great idea. But unfortunately, the implementation is disappointing.

I connected my bass guitar and noticed that even when I play notes completely out of scale, the app still gives me 1/2 and sometimes even 2/2. I tried different tones, input levels, and EQ settings — the result is always the same.

At the moment, the only way to use this app is to ignore the evaluation scores and statistics and rely solely on your own ear. That makes it hardly better than the countless similar videos on YouTube.

I sincerely hope the developers will fix these issues in future updates. Best wishes.

All most there...

I needed an ear training app for one of my students. This has some promising potential.

There is a bug in the app where it will play perfect 5ths in a row for serveral questions and there's no way to report the bug on their website.

Some of the features lacking are:
- Not able to see which intervals you are having trouble with.
- Not able to see what you are proficent at.
- The "Last Session" score is alway 0s
- No ablity to retake a lesson if you have a passing score.
- No real ability to customize a lesson if you want more questions at a specific level.

No feedback equals a waste of time for beginners

The app doesn’t tell you if you are high/low/fast/slow so there is no way to improve your performance except to guess over and over
