Pairing Unstable
I bought 2 of these to use them paired up. Big mistake. One speaker on its own works well. When you pair them, the sound drops constantly. The music speeds up at times when they do work. The app always has a hard time finding the speakers. These were not given to me by JBL for free. I paid over $600, and, while the light show looks nice, the audio is terrible. Do not buy JBL. They are a rip-off and have faulty devices. Never again.

Inconsistent
I use this app to pair my speakers together, and to check the battery % on them. Sometimes it works but more times than not the app cannot find the speakers.

What’s up with all the random burps and hiccups…it’s on, then off, then back on again 🤷🏻 I deleted the app, reloaded it, jumped through every hoop that usually brought success in the past…the specific dance of sequences that work…still no stereo. I even ran the speakers til the battery was dead and then recharged; that fixed one problem but not the main issue. I like the speakers, not the app. I’ve had them several years and you think they would have fixed it by now. Let’s just say I’ve had it. Don’t buy it.

Multiple Apps Required
If you have multiple JBL devices you likely need multiple JBL apps to manage them. Example: The Flip 5 and the Charge 5 require two separate apps. I deleted both apps out of spite. Bluetooth is more than sufficient to listen to music.

After years this application doesn’t work
After years I haven’t been able to make this application work. Of the 12 flip six speakers I purchased only two are working. And the app doesn’t work either. There won’t be any more JBL speakers in my life
Unstable
Almost every time wants me disconnect my boombox and reconnect.. i don’t want interruption like that when it’s connected and playing. The App needs a way to ‘em connect without interruption.

Annoying bug
When it works it’s great. Even tho my speaker is connected to my phone with music playing, when I open the app it stays stuck on the “Discovering Product” screen. I found that pressing the Bluetooth button on my speaker sometimes makes it connect to the app right away. SOMETIMES. I have the Xtreme 5, and I’m having the same issue with the flip 7. I’ve been bearing it for a while now but it’s getting really irritating not being able to adjust the EQ settings because the app fails to detect that the speaker is already connected.

It never crackled before,than suddenly it got bad bad,download our new app to make the crackle go away headache

If you accidentally press the button for a speaker party, there’s no way out. Had to exit the app. That’s no way to be. I love my JBL products, but I really need a good app that can see all my speakers, all my devices and have an easy user dashboard for me to navigate.

Light show problem
I bought a extreme five then the light show 1 isn’t customizable so I can’t make my own and in neon mode it doesn’t change it just one colors with another tone moving behind it I like them to update it immediately
