Firmware failure. App just crashes.

I want to love this speaker system, but right from the get-go the experience has been very frustrating due to this horrible app. It does not seem able to play Bluetooth music even when I connect, so I looked to the connect Pro app, which told me the firmware needed updating before it could do anything. Great. I begin the firmware update process, wait 15 minutes or so for it to download and install… and the app crashes. No indication of anything on the actual speaker, Same Old firmware version, so I try again; same result. Meanwhile despite having two USB ports on the speaker I am told the firmware cannot be updated in any way other than using the app. I will be plugging in some equipment to try using it for its intended purpose, but the initial experience has been terrible.

The app stinks

Well, the old app is still posted in the App Store. It doesn’t work very well
The new one is quirky to get around still on little icons to press to get around

Didn’t work for me

Endless mucking around trying to connect app to EonOne Compact to update firmware… tried 2x android phones then an iPad, always just hangs on ‘connect’. Waste of time.

Stupid and Useless

Worst connection, harder to connect and not as stable as my cheap Chinese bluetooth receiver!

Impossible

Impossible to connect to prx one
