About

JFS (Jamiat Finance System) is the bookkeeping and receipt-verification application of Islami Jamiat Talaba Pakistan, published by Idara Matbuat-e-Talaba (Private) Limited. JFS provides two types of access: public receipt verification and protected organizational bookkeeping. Verify a receipt — no account required Anyone holding a JFS receipt serial can use Verify a receipt directly from the sign-in screen. Enter the serial to confirm that the corresponding bookkeeping record exists and view the receipt details made available for verification. JFS does not accept, transfer, hold or process money. Receipt verification confirms an existing bookkeeping record only. Protected bookkeeping Authorized office bearers use JFS to record income and expenditure, issue receipts, maintain unit accounts and carry financial records through the organisation’s review and audit process. Bookkeeping access is invitation-only. Accounts are issued by the relevant organizational unit so that protected financial records remain accessible only to authorized users. What you can do • Verify a receipt — check a JFS receipt using its serial without creating an account or signing in. • Issue receipts — record incoming funds against a payer or donor, including the payment method and purpose, and issue a receipt serial. • Record expenses — capture an expense with its category, amount, date and an optional bill photograph, then submit it for review. • Follow the audit trail — see the status and history of records as they move through internal review and audit. • See balances — understand available balances, opening amounts, income received and expenditure already recorded. • Events and liabilities — group programme costs and keep track of amounts that remain payable. • Reports — generate financial statements for a selected period and share them where your role permits. Built for the Jamiat structure Every financial record belongs to an organizational pocket, such as Markaz, Suba, Zila, Halqa or another unit. What an authenticated user can see or do depends on the role assigned to that user and the unit in which that role is held. Account holders can initiate account deletion directly inside the app from More → Delete account. JFS is free. There are no subscriptions, In-App Purchases, advertisements or paid digital features. Available in English and Urdu.

What's New in JFS

2.2.0

October 6, 2026

This release focuses on making approvals dependable and the numbers trustworthy. APPROVALS AND AUDIT • Approving, rejecting and requesting clarification now work reliably at every stage, for expenses, events, receipts and opening balances — including the optional Incharge Finance stage. • Retrying after a dropped connection no longer reports a failure for something that was already recorded. • Events keep their amount and items throughout review. • Each entry in an audit history now shows the role the person acted in. • Buttons appear only when you can actually act, so an action no longer fails after you tap it. ORGANIZATION • One place for your part of the organization: hierarchy, pocket profiles, members, reports and analytics. • Open any sub-pocket you are responsible for to see its details, balance, members, records and audit history, read-only. • Add a member to any sub-pocket in your hierarchy, not just the one directly below you. • Create a sub-pocket under any unit you are responsible for, with the unit types your structure allows. BALANCES • Your pocket's own balance is unchanged and remains the headline figure. • Beneath it, a separate figure shows your pocket together with its sub-pockets, shown only where you are permitted to see it. It is a reporting total, never money held by your pocket. DAY TO DAY • Add a donor while receiving money, without leaving the receipt. • Liabilities are now reachable from the home screen. • Reports open on the current financial year and period. REPORTS AND DOCUMENTS • Choose whether a report covers this pocket only, or this pocket together with its sub-pockets. The choice is applied consistently on screen, in PDF and in Excel. • Corrected opening and closing positions, and totals that reconcile with the rows they summarise. • Redesigned receipt confirmation and financial report PDFs, with the organization's identity, the amount in words and clear status. • Excel exports now carry real numbers and real dates, with frozen headers and filters, so they can be used for accounting work directly. FIXES • Accepting an invitation no longer interrupts itself on the way to the sign-in screen. • The app no longer shows connection status messages, and no button is disabled because of them. Available in English and Urdu.
