Just Undownloaded

It has a really clunky interface, and doesn’t automatically detect whether I’m typing in Japanese or English and switch accordingly like other dictionary apps do. Also severe lack of example sentences. Just not for me

Amazing app

全然素晴らしいことですよ👍!

Excellent and very helpful for beginners

This is a great dictionary, especially if you are a beginning Japanese language learner. First off, I have to say the only problem I had was my own fault, and it was because I got a new iPhone and did not realize that the sound on some apps is muted if you have you ringer off. It was working on my iPad so I kept trying to figure it out. This is an inconsistency in iPhone so if you use Jisho (and GENKI for that matter), turn your ringer on to take advantage of the pronunciation help. You will get so much out of this feature as a beginner.

Also amazing: if you are working on your handwriting, go into the hamburger menu, under alphabet there are stroke order animations for both Hiragana and Katakana. You can also find this under the kanji listings for words if you press the little “play” arrow under the kanji. The animation pops up.

Also found under the menu, you will also find some vocabulary and grammar notes by JLPT level. You can bookmark words you look up which will be listed under favorites.

I truly liked this app so much and so I paid paid for premium.

Audio Broken

Audio doesn’t work on my iPhone or iPad. I paid for premium to see if that was the issue but it still doesn’t work.

I also don’t see any change in the app between unpaid and premium.

This is a great app but having audio troubles

The audio works on my iPad, but not on my phone. I’ve checked out sound and speakers on my phone, and they are ok. Is there trouble with that version of the app or is there something I can do. I have a premium account. Thank you.
