About

Study for the JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test) N5 and N4 — all in one app. ◆ Four study modes • Practice: drill by category (characters & vocabulary, grammar, reading) with clear explanations • Random 50: mixed questions from every category • Mock exam: 40 questions in 60 minutes, exam format • Weak review: retry only the questions you got wrong ◆ Listening practice 60 audio comprehension questions. Japanese read-aloud also covers words and example sentences, so you can learn pronunciation by ear. ◆ Wordbook & flashcards 368 essential N5/N4 words and kanji across 20 chapters. Review anywhere with flashcards. ◆ Progress dashboard Your accuracy is tracked by category and level, so you always know how close you are to the passing line. ◆ Exam guide Test dates, fees, the score you need to pass, pass rates, and the full N5–N1 level ladder on one screen. It is information you need before you decide to sit the test, so all of it is available without buying anything. ◆ Interface in 6 languages English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese. You can switch inside the app, independently of your device language. Wordbook chapter titles and descriptions follow the language you pick. ◆ Premium (one-time purchase) A single purchase unlocks everything — there is no monthly charge: • All 20 wordbook chapters • Japanese read-aloud for words, example sentences and listening questions • Listening mode, N4 and weak review always unlocked • Removes all ads Start with N5 practice for free. * This is an unofficial study app and is not affiliated with the organizers of the JLPT (the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services). No past exam papers are reproduced — every question and word is original, written to follow the published test scope.

What's New in JLPT Pass

1.2

August 26, 2026

The wordbook now reads in your language • Wordbook category names, chapter titles and chapter descriptions now follow the display language you pick in the app (English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese) • Until now those headings stayed in English even if you had chosen another language for the interface • The App Store listing is now available in all six languages too Questions and vocabulary entries stay in Japanese, and their meanings and explanations stay in English, because that is the material being tested. Feedback is welcome from "Contact" inside the app.
