Back programme

I find the app very easy to use and the exercises are concise and well explained. Only a week in but feeling some improvement already.

Getting stronger

Easy way to do exercises and improve strength of muscles and mobility

Random exercises

It’s not personalised and exercises are given randomly. I wrote weekly reports but they are not read or reflected on.

Great service!

Having used a few different apps for joint exercises this is by far the best and the staff are really good! Wish I’d known about it sooner

Ankle sprain

I have a Grade III ankle sprain. These exercises have accelerated the healing of my ankle.

Additional exercise

I have used this app for a number of years now. I made excellent progress during the first 2-3years getting down to a pain level of 2 and then took a break. I recently returned to the app because my pain was getting worse at a level of 7. The app motivates me to do the exercises everyday without fail. However, I do an additional exercise with a band. I sit on the floor with straight legs. Put the band around one foot and hold each end touching your chest and bend the knee out to the side and then straighten it again, very slowly 15 times each leg. I also do yoga to strengthen the core.

Excellent

I think this is brilliant, they cater for your needs. If you have a problem you can get in touch.

So far

Interesting exercises seem good but think it will take sometime more to feel any benefit from them, at this. Stage it’s not yet improving anything to note pain either the same or perhaps a little worse, s till coming to terms with the deterioration in my health.

Missing lessons and exercises

App has said it’s on ‘Day 2 of Week 2’ every day since I started - it won’t update. Also missing two lessons and it won’t let me do the questions.

Joint Academy

I’ve only had this for a week and already I can feel a difference. This is probably the best app I have ever used. The daily exercises and explanations are excellent.

Great way to manage problem knees

I tried Joint Academy for a six week trial and saw a definite improvement from the regular exercise. My physio Bobby was very friendly and professional, giving helpful feedback through the app and on monthly calls. Fortunately my knee issues are pretty mild so I feel OK to carry on now without the app, but will continue the exercises as they have really helped.

Limited Use

At first some good exercise options and information.

It clearly states that it was only for hips and knees, so not for my ankle but the knee ok.

The information that this is not covered by the NHS “in my area” was not a surprise but the monthly cost for online support at £40 is well over the top.

30 minutes face to face with a qualified practitioner is available for the same cost or cheaper.

Rehab knee injury

Only been usuing joint academy for a week , but feel total confidence in my physiotherapist and the exercises I’ve been given to get me back into work as quickly as possible, whilst also doing things the correct way to achieve that aim

Very good app

I have only been using this for a week not but it does motivate me to do the exercises

Instantly asked to create an account

Downloaded this to have a look at what it offers and what the costs are, but you’re instantly taken to a signup screen which asks for all manner of personal information. Do the developers honestly expect people to supply this when they have no idea a what they’re signing up to or how much it’ll cost them? Uninstalled.

Response from developer

hank you for your feedback. Joint Academy in the UK is currently available as free service to selected NHS patients who have been invited to trial the app. We have launched a self pay option very recently which is also free to anyone until the 31st October. The cost thereafter is £40 per month. We do make all the information available to patients on our website https://www.jointacademy.com/gb/en/limited-offer/ We will take your feedback onboard and ensure that our messaging for NHS and self pay patients is as clear as it can be.

Can’t progress on this app

This app will not accept my Spanish postcode so I put in a Uk number and postcode and managed to register myself. Next when I got to the physio bit where a call was going to be arranged, it said oops, something went wrong!
So please sort this out as it is unusable as it stands
