Hat alles, was man als Alternative zu iCloud benötigt. Wenn man ganz auf iCloud verzichten möchte, braucht man zwingend ein Bildbearbeitungsprogramm. Das ist schade, deshalb nur 4 Sterne.

Not very clear but definitely works
Nach nachdem die App installiert war kam die Ernüchterung
Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten mit dem Upload (App muss geöffnet sein, bei 800gb😶🌫️). Das App Design und Funktionalität ist angelehnt an icloud, was mir sehr gefällt. Im Alltag merke ich jetzt jedoch schon das Apple einfach so viel mehr Funktionen in iOS eingebunden hat, dass ich nach dem Monat ersten Monat kein weiteres Jotta Abo nutzen werde. Die KI Funktionen und bearbeitungsfunktionen in Fotos möchte ich nicht missen.
Ich möchte mir auch keine Gedanken darüber machen müssen ob die Daten nun hochgeladen wurden oder nicht, weil die Hintergrundsktuslisierung nicht richtig funktioniert.

Naja
Wollte eine Alternative zu Dropbox aber bin enttäuscht von Jotta. Vielleicht verstehe ich auch die Funktionsweise nicht aber das Fotos die man in der Cloud löscht auch gleichzeitig vom Handy gelöscht werden ist nicht Sinn der Sache. Das sollten zwei eigene Entities sein. Außerdem wird nicht z.B. in einen Camera Upload Ordner sortiert so wie bei Dropbox. Außerdem kann man beim auswählen von Fotos nicht "alle auswählen" weshalb man jedes Fotos mühselig einzeln anklicken muss. Ebenso kann man nicht auswählen welche Ordner synchronisiert werden sollen oder das nur ab Aktivierung alles neue synchronisiert wird und nicht die gesamte Mediathek. Gibt noch viel zu verbessern.

Phenomenal
I've been using Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive for years and found Jada Cloud two years ago now, and it is, by far, the fastest and best service out of anything else that I've tried. Their unlimited tier is just terrific. I highly recommend you check them out.

Extrem schnell, ideal als iCloud alternative für Dateien sowie zur Foto Sicherung. Dazu noch eine sichere europäische Alternative zu Apple, Google und Co.
Einzig die Foto Bearbeitung ist eher rudimentär und benötigt einen externen Editor.

Deleting photos
I’m on the free trial version for now but unless something changes I won’t be upgrading to a subscription. Here’s the issue, the free storage was full, which I expected to happen, so I decided to free up space but the app wants to delete the photos on my device, not the ones on the app or in the cloud that’s not ideal, I fact it’s very poor. I should be able to delete from the cloud not from my ‘phone.

Man hat weder in der App noch im Web die Möglichkeit den Account zu löschen. Damit verstößt die App gegen geltendes europäisches Recht.
Ebenso rate ich davon ab diese App zu nutzen, weil sie mir schon seit einem Monat anzeigt, dass ich 13 GB belegt habe, obwohl ich alle Daten bereits überall gelöscht habe. Was wird also angezeigt? Europa und IT...

We appriciate the feedback, but this sounds strange. It is possible to cancel your account from the app Settings -> Advanced -> "Cancel subscription". All your data is deleted when you terminate your account. The service is fully GDPR compliant and follow strict Norwegian privacy laws. If you still experience weirdness, please contact our support and we will look into these issues.
Fast perfekt für mich
Eigentlich hat Jottacloud alles was ich brauche um meine Dateien zu sichern. Allerdings fehlt mir die HDR Ansicht um von Google Fotos umzuziehen.

Hi and thank you for your feedback! The app supports HDR for local photos, but we don't fully support it for photos not stored on the device yet. We have a task for it on our road map, but it has no date yet.

If you want to de-Google please check out this Norwegian based company and give them your business. Customer support is fantastic. Continuity and support across various devices is excellent.

obwohl automatisch sichern ausgeschlossen ist. Ich kann auch nicht herausfinden was hochgeladen wurde, um es zu löschen. Diese App muss noch weiter entwickelt werden…

Bin sehr froh, eine gute Alternative zu iCloud zu haben. Einen Verbesserungsvorschlag habe ich jedoch: wenn ihr noch die Funktion „Speicher Sparens“ integrieren könntet, wäre die App wirklich perfekt.
Impossible to delete account
I encountered too many bugs in their upload functionality, which made me lose all faith in Jottacloud as a trustworthy backup solution for my photos. Support were very helpful and responsive, but it seems to be impossible to delete your account. The guidance on their website gives website points to a ‘delete account’ feature that doesn’t exist. So now I feel trapped. Also, the website is full of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, which doesn’t exactly foster trust. It just felt to me that Jottacloud isn’t ready for primetime.

Fotostream nicht optimiert
Wenn man nur Fotos und Video hochlädt ist alles ok. Aber wenn man dann Dokumentenordner oder Programmordner hochlädt als Backup, werden die darin enthaltenen Bilder und Icons mit im Fotostream angezeigt. Man hat keine Möglichkeit das auszublenden. Nervig. Auch finde ich unter MacOS keine Möglichkeit mehr alle meine Bilder und Videos als Backup herunterzuladen.
