Joule is a calm, privacy-first nutrition tracker built for fast meal logging, clear daily targets, and honest food-photo estimates you can review before saving. Joule sends data off device only for an explicitly requested network feature, such as Meal Photo or, when available after separate consent, the minimum selected context for Mara. Request content is processed statelessly and is not stored by Joule’s service. Meal Photo analysis is always optional. When you choose it, your photo is sent securely for analysis and immediately discarded. Every estimate includes its assumptions and remains fully editable before logging.
