Professional, Safe, and Stress-Free Communication

Administrating a church community means balancing dozens of rotas, youth groups, and community outreach projects. For years, we struggled with messy WhatsApp groups and potentially important info getting lost in personal chats. Switching to Jovo has been one of the best tech decisions we’ve made for our church community.

Why Jovo works perfectly for us:

- Safeguarding First: As a church, safety is a huge priority. Jovo gives our leadership the oversight we need without invading personal privacy. It keeps boundaries clear, which is a huge relief for our youth leaders and parents.

- No More "Notification Fatigue": I love that I can separate my "Church Life" from my "Personal Life." Messages don't get buried between family chats, and the ability to schedule announcements means we’re not pinging volunteers at 11 PM on a Saturday!

- Temporary Groups are Brilliant: We use the "Expiring Groups" feature for everything - from Christmas events to social action projects. Once the event / project is over, the group closes automatically. No more "ghost groups" taking up space.

- Easy for All Ages: We have volunteers ranging from teenagers to retirees. The interface is clean and simple so that everyone can get set up quickly using the QR code invites. Admins are also able to set up and manage groups for those who have less technical ability, so we have been able to support those who find this sort of thing hard!

- One other huge advantage is we don't have to share personal phone numbers with everyone in the church, so it is great for GDPR compliance and equally for those people in our community who are potentially more vulnerable

If you are a church leader or charity coordinator looking for a way to bring your community together while staying GDPR-compliant and organised, Jovo is the answer. It enables us to quickly and easily update people and help our church community feel more connected!

Great App missing some key features

Great app missing the ability to send embedded videos, pdf/documents and no way to invite people other than the QR code.

Response from developer

Hi - thanks for the review! Attachments are coming in the next version (1.16.4 - should be out very soon). Also, if you have permission in a community you can invite by email address as well as QR code.
