What's New in Joy

1.2.0

October 27, 2026

JOY has been rebuilt around one idea: nothing in it should ever feel required. • Every step of the daily session can now be skipped, and a quiet day still counts • Recorded stories collect in one place, in order, so they build up over time • You choose whether your daily check-in answers are shared with your family, and you can change it at any time in Settings • A simpler way to look at photos • You can now delete any of your recorded stories • Inviting family is simpler: tap Invite and send the code with your phone's usual share options. A code that's still waiting shows quietly on Home, where you can share it again or cancel it • Pull down to refresh: new photos and stories appear without closing the app • Sign-in is simpler, and a number of fixes to sending photos and voice messages
