About

JPG Altitude is a simple field companion for checking elevation and keeping useful places on your iPhone. CHOOSE HOW YOU MEASURE Quick Check takes a bounded location reading, then turns the sensors off. Trail starts with a location reference and uses the barometer while the app stays open. Refresh location only when you choose. Live offers continuous foreground location updates, and Low Power Mode switches it to Trail. KEEP THE DETAILS THAT MATTER See altitude in feet or meters, the original measurement time, and available location accuracy. Calibrate at a known elevation. Save named spots with their available coordinates, altitude and measurement details. RECORD THE CLIMB Start an outing when you want an elevation profile and estimated ascent and descent. Recording uses smoothed barometer samples. Pauses, missing samples and recalibration create separate intervals rather than artificial climbing. A LARGER VIEW Road display makes the altitude and trend easier to read. Normal auto-lock stays enabled. LOCAL BY DESIGN No account, ads, analytics, map downloads or app server. Your readings, spots and outings stay on this iPhone. Screen lock and backgrounding stop measurement; outing recording is foreground-only. Altitude is an estimate. Reception, pressure changes and your reference affect accuracy. Refresh or recalibrate when needed. Saved data is excluded from backups and is removed when you delete the app. A compatible barometer is required for Trail estimates and outing profiles. Battery use varies with reception, screen brightness and measuring mode.
