App Crashes on iPad
You pay €200+ for a jump counter, then pay again every year to use it
After 2 years and 7 months of normal use (activated February 6, 2024), the handles suddenly stopped counting on September 16, 2026. Support first told me memberships are "typically valid for one year", which doesn't even match my own account history. Then they confirmed that without a paid membership (~€60/year), the AMP handles simply don't work with the app. No basic counting, no simple intervals.
I don't use leaderboards, challenges, lessons or training programs. I only need Free Jump and a basic 60/15 interval timer. The handles connect to my phone via Bluetooth, and counting rotations doesn't require any server-side service. Support didn't explain any technical reason. They only said the handles are "designed to work as part of the connected app experience", in other words, a business decision.
Compare this with other connected devices: Theragun Pro Plus connects via Bluetooth and its app comes free with the device, with no restrictions on basic functions. Everjump, a cheaper smart rope I used before, also comes with a free app. That is the fair model: the hardware's core function is free, and premium content like challenges, leaderboards and 12-week programs is paid.
Crossrope chose a different model: you pay a premium for the hardware, and then pay again every year just to use what you already paid for. For me, that turns a €200+ rope into an expensive regular rope unless I pay a subscription I don't need.
I'm selling mine. If you only want accurate jump counting, look elsewhere or be prepared to pay a subscription for the whole life of the product.

Cross rope app is awesome!
Update request - it would be great if the workout results would integrate with Garmin connect
Great workouts, awesome challenges! 5yrs+ of doing Crossrope and using this App. Love it!!
Everything’s locked
I should clarify. I’ve used the app for years. But it’s down to maybe a dozen workouts that are free. And no way to search for or find others that are.
