Video Uploads are a Joke
My husband and I absolutely love the idea of this app, especially for intimate conversations when we have four children at home. However, one thing we were really looking forward to sharing are some videos, and the longest video I can get to upload is 45 seconds long. To share videos you have to upgrade, so we spent the $50 to share videos. Sending short little video clips is NOT what we were intending, and there is no warning before purchasing that you are limited to small videos. It’s a total waste of $50. The other features are nice, like blurring the images in the chat and sending the messages as a notification that has no preview, but if we can’t send longer videos the fee 100% is not worth it.

Broken
Really enjoyed this app with my wife. Aside from some small glitches early on it was great. Aside of yesterday, however, mine will no longer load. It’s just spins the loading screen without showing anything. So frustrating. I’ve force closed, deleted and reinstalled, nothing works.
Great for intimate conversations without distractions
I like that me and my spouse can use this to communicate with only each other. There is no chance of accidentally messaging the wrong person. The images are automatically blurred in the chat view until you click on them. I do wish that images and videos recorded inside the app could be edited and text could be sent at the same time.

Picture sharing and deleting
The only thing keeping me from giving this app five stars is
1. I can’t find a way to copy a picture I was sent from my spouse within the app and resend it to my spouse on the app. I mean, I could always save it to my phone and then work with that but the whole point of this app for us is to not have to ever save it to our phone where others could gain access. I took some photos of me using his account and sent them to my account because we were using his phone and I figured I could just send them back when I wanted. I can’t figure out any way to copy and send or even just send them back to his phone though. So that’s a bit frustrating. If that was fixed, I’d probably give this paid version app a five star. I love it!
2. Though free version user beware that unless you have some kind of subscription or cancel your account there is no way to delete your photos off the app if you want to. (Maybe I just missed it though.) Not that you have to be afraid of them getting leaked. Its more of a being stuck seeing pics youre not wanting to see anymore. I didn’t see anything about that in the description of the free version or I wouldnt have taken a pic in this app in the first place until I knew i wanted to subscribe.

Consistently fails to send messages
My wife and I are about to get rid of this app and look for an alternative. We’ve been using it for about a year whenever I travel and over that time we have had multiple instances where one of us would send a message only to find out later it was never received. This app is not reliable at its primary job and therefore I cannot recommend it to anyone.

Been married 20 years… This is our go to date night app
We have used this app since it first came to the App Store. From its conception, I have LOVED this app. My husband and I use it to “warm up“ for our date nights. I’ll take photos of myself getting ready, we’ve recorded sexy videos for each other, and this app is EXCELLENT for when one of you is out of town. *wink wink, nudge nudge*
You can get us dirty as you want… And you’ll never cross the beams because you can compartmentalize “lover mode“ and “Roommate mode“.
We all know about faux pas of sending messages meant specifically for your lover on accident to a group chat or to someone super inappropriate, like your dad or your boss. It’s gross and NO ONE wants that.
But nothing is a faster mood killer than trying to have sexy talk with your lover, and then interjecting “oh right can you pick up the kid from soccer practice, then swing by the store to grab some milk and tampons for me?“ 😒
This app allows you to have your partner/lover conversations as intimately as you desire, which then allows traditional text messages, or message apps, to be used for other communications.
The end end encryption is amazing because then you know there is LITERALLY only one person receiving those messages. And if you try to screenshot something, the picture is a blackout. So whether it’s intentional or accidental, you don’t have to worry about pictures meant for specifically one person in one specific scenario, getting out to everyone in the world via auto-photo uploads or whatever.
I love all the improvement they’ve made over the years (like a timer for photos) and I recommend this app to every single one of my couples friends.

Doesn’t work anymore
Keep receiving messages but I can’t see anything. My partner gets my messages just fine, but I can’t see hers even though I get notification

Brought the sexy back
My kids share my cell phone account (on iPads) in order to keep them safe. That also limits what I can discuss with my spouse via text…thx to this app, we can go back to discussing everything again, like adults.
Could be the best messaging app for couples
saw this app and thought it would be a great private and a more personal way to communicate with my partner. My original thought was to get a month’s subscription and then buy it. I absolutely loved the finger touch aspect of this app especially when your partner is away.
Just a quick note to explain what devices were being used. My partners experience with this app was a lot more positive than mine. He was using the app on a Google pixel and I was using this app on my iPhone 17 pro max.
At the start everything was running very smoothly but after a few weeks I was experiencing a lot of lag, and on multiple times when I received a notification of a new message I would then open the app to read it and there was no messages at all, the app just wouldn’t load anything, I then had to resort to using sms or even WhatsApp . Because of this unreliability me and my partner chose not to continue using it. Which was a shame as I believe that there is so much potential with this app where you could even add in things like video calls, widgets where you could share pics with your partner, options to change the app icon etc…… so much potential and missed opportunities.

This app is a great way to communicate privately with your significant other and not be mixed up in other text messaging applications.

With all the craziness of this life, technology, and our kids grabbing our phones. My wife really appreciates having a place that we can share personally and flirty without an accidental embarrassing read through CarPlay or some other scenario

Great app but some features seem to be missing
I was hoping one could also import custom made stickers into the app, similar to other apps like WhatsApp. Unfortunately, that doesn‘t seem to be possible.
constant crashes
The app crashes constantly - I can’t believe it’s still so unusable. If you’ve got more that 30 photos good luck cuz you’ll never be able to see them. Waste of money when the main feature of the app doesn’t work.
Upgrade cost
Where is the published cost if you upgrade? Why is that a hidden aspect?
Doesn’t work well at all
The idea and concept of this app is amazing. We love the ability to send pictures and messages that are not connected to other messages. I love the blurred out images. However even after paying for the yearly subscription we’ve lost so many pictures and messages. The app constantly glitches. We tried the encryption code but that didn’t work. I am so surprised that there are so many positive reviews. We have updated phones and are great with technology. The quality of this app is very low. We are very disappointed. I wish there was something that functioned better.
