FINALLY, an app that records in stereo!
I have a handful of recording apps on my iPad 2nd Generation, and at least one of them claims to record in stereo. (Pro tip: If you record a video in landscape mode (“sideways”), you will also get stereo audio on many newer devices, especially iPhones!) But the one in particular I’m thinking about right now only utilizes one microphone, therefore records in mono (in fairness, I’m waiting to hear back from them, as to if I’m doing something wrong).
But the reason this is important to me is that I like to record nature sounds, and recording via video uses copious amounts of memory (not surprising, of course). And be apprised that recording two channels of audio will use twice as much memory as recording in mono. But it’s still a lot less memory used than in video mode! There is a way to set the app to record in mono or stereo on the main screen, so make sure you utilize the setting for whatever way you wish.
Now on to the transcription function. Hey, this app uses the same speech function as AutoCorrect, so let the sometimes-hilarious transcriptions ensue! Haha! (I’m actually typing my review here, to ensure fewer mistakes, BTW.)
But this app gets the full 5 stars from me for ease of use, and outstanding results!

Unreliable
It’s the second time this month that I press record and after 10-20 minutes I notice that it’s stuck on 0:00 and I missed important recordings.
It should get even better with new Siri AI when it gets here !

Please fix
When recording from the Apple Watch the recording you can’t play on loudspeaker it only plays with the earpiece like when you’re on a call to somebody that’s the only way you can hear the recording it does not be on loudspeaker. There is no option. Please fix this.
Transcription needs improvement
I recorded a virtual meeting on my MacBook using both Quicktime and JPR from my watch. I then ran the QT audio through MacWhisper for a transcription and compared it to the transcription JPR generated. JPR was significantly worse in all categories: speaker separation, accuracy, formatting, proper names, and ease of summarization. However, when I ran the JPR recording through MacWhisper, it was >>better<< than the QT recording, showing that JPR’s recording is very good, but the transcription needs improvement.

iCloudで同期する設定に変更して10秒程度の録音を3回Apple Watch SE3で行った。
いずれのデータもiPhoneにもMacBookにも20分経っても同期されなかった。
iCloud容量も100GB以上残ってるから完全にこのアプリの問題。
買い切りでこれはレベルが低すぎる。

Exactly what I needed
Just Press Record is simple, fast, and genuinely useful. I wanted an easy way to record from my Apple Watch without having to pull out my phone, and this app does exactly that.
The ability to record from the Watch, sync to my phone, and copy the transcript is perfect for quick thoughts, work notes, reminders, and anything I need to capture before I forget it. It is clean, practical, and does not get in its own way.
This is one of those apps that solves a real problem without making the solution more complicated than the problem. Highly recommend.

Apple Watchで録音したデータがiPhoneなどになかなか同期されないので、かなり使い勝手が悪い
This app is simply the best
At my workplace I’ve run into some coworkers with some very questionable and straight up harassing statements towards me that I’ve been able to record, since I’m in a one party recording consent state, and forward it to HR since I’ve had the evidence recorded from my watch. There was once it stopped recording but I believe that was just from me listening to music on and off from my watch. Regardless 10/10 amazing app !

Lovely app
This is a great app. The sound is excellent quality, it’s simple to use and you can listen with your phone in another app or locked.
One feature I need desperately which this app doesn’t have is the ability to continue adding sound to the same recording. There is a pause option which allows you to continue adding sound but if you leave the app or the kids need me and the app closes for whatever reason you can’t go back into the recording and continue where you left off. I hope this feature can be added in the future. It would make this app perfect for me. (Selfish I know)

Tres bien conçue
Tres bonne application qui me permet de lancer un enregistrement à partir de mon Apple Watch.
La transcription fonctionne bien à condition que l’enregistrement soit de bonne qualité et la voix bien en avant.
Mon seul regret: on ne peut pas programmer l’app pour commencer l’enregistrement dès son lancement sur iPhone (d’autres app le font. ) Une suggestion pour une prochaine version !

does not meet expectations
The application does not record a call, for example. I need to record a call, such as a call with my boss, who dictates to me many different tasks that are impossible to remember, and that is why I paid for this application. Unfortunately, this application does not meet the requirements.

I love this app for recording audio from my iPhone. I can easily send audio from the app to my computer and into my audio editing software! Superb App that I highly recommend!!!!
Error needs to be fixed
When there is a situation where a long recording is needed (>1hr), the app was automatically closed and the recording was gone. Please fix it.
