JustPlaces: Spot Tracker

JustPlaces marks the places worth coming back to, and shows the way to your car. Good ground lasts for years — the same spruce stand, the same ditch along the firebreak. The hard part is holding them all in your head until next season. MARK A SPOT Found something worth remembering? Drop a point and know it will still be there later — with a name, a note about the place ("dark spruce stand, fruits in autumn") and the species you found. Years on, that note is what tells you whether the drive is worth it. RECORD THE WALK, KEEP THE WAY HOME Start recording when you leave the car. The app draws your path and keeps a straight green line to the car with the distance to it — the way back is always clear. PLACES, NOT ANONYMOUS PINS Points carry species: thirty common ones with drawn icons — boletes, chanterelles, milkcaps, brittlegills, honey fungus and more. Your own species with a photo takes a minute to add. Filter the map down to a single species, or lay past tracks over it to see where you walked last time. BUILT FOR THE FOREST Works fully offline — no signal needed once the map area is loaded.
