Phenomenal app
I figured I should do the justice and write a review as most of the reviews for this app are quite old.
Kaboose has put a ton of work into the app, there is a lot more to do, resources to help you, groups, lots of people, and is a very safe and exceptionally well maintained community.
Neurodivergent people need a safe space, and the Kaboose app is definitely one.

Ghost Town and now AI Slop
Wow, way to completely misunderstand your audience!
I’ve had Kaboose for over a year. It first had problems for being clunky and not many people active, but I held onto it hoping it would get better. It hasn’t. I added a photo in hopes of making local friends (tho the proximity search has long since been broken…) and instead ended up getting a bunch of invites from random dudes around the world. And that apparently triggered something that banned ME. Of course, no one has responded to my email about it for over a week…
It now has an AI slop mascot. As a creative, this was the last slap in the face and casts doubt on the accuracy of any health content they might now include. Great idea, horrible execution. Good riddance.

Works
The app works fine for me, not sure what the other reviewers had a problem with.
Don’t waist your time.
I had it for three months. Found three people. Sadly, the conversation s were to far and in between to be of much use. Good people though. I had tons of women try to entice me into scenarios no married man should ever remotely consider. Keep looking. This is a massive waste of time.

Your phone is at risk, I was without all apps and banking etc after trying to dl this thing. Absolute HELL.

Poor UX
Unable to log in. Blocks use of password manager. Can’t even paste in a password! Makes it too insecure for me to want to use.
Great in theory but terrible execution
I got this app after it popped up on my Tik Tok feed and though it would be great since I moved to a new city and wanted to make friends. Unfortunately this app has not lived up to the lofty goals set by its creator. First, it’s super glitchy. It crashed at least a couple times when you open it and for some reason it doesn’t send me notifications despite them being on. Second, there is not enough people on there currently to actually find friends, especially for US users. I will swipe through there saying app style match system and find maybe one person that has a couple similar interests as me. And of course none are even close enough to try to hang out. There definitely needs to be more global users for it to be more viable. Third, is the users on the app can be hit or miss. This isn’t entirely the apps fault but I did have a bad experience with a so called “ambassador” for the app because she refused to leave me alone despite me asking. And of course the app has huge problems with people treating it like a dating app rather than for friends like it’s intended. Overall, it seemed like a cool idea but does not work.

Too hard to navigate
Can’t set my proper birthdate because the roller thing doesn’t go to October. Sends me in a loop with the video when I try to verify. No option to for Canada to find friends.

A few QOL issues, but not unusable
Hello, all- this is a great concept, and it works for its intent pretty well. It’s not necessarily polished all the way yet, but keep in mind the devs are doing their best.
Honestly, if you consider yourself neurodivergent it’s definitely worth a shot.

Lots of bugs and ignore your update requests
I’ve been trying to update my profile for two days and am getting ignored. My tribes I’ve joined have also disappeared.
