So, I was hoping that the only rating for this app was wrong, but I was mistaken. Yup, you have to pay to even access the content of the app. I would have liked a free version ( NOTHING to do with the subscription or trial) to see what was on the app. I had high hopes for this one and clearly I was wrong. Very disappointed.

We'd like to clear up the confusion: Kalimba has always had free content — free melodies and free kalimba settings are available without any subscription. When a purchase screen appears, you can simply tap "continue with limited version" to keep using the app for free. We never lock the whole app behind a subscription. That said, we've heard you. Version 5.0, released just recently, is a complete redesign of the app — a new engine and a new interface — and we've made the free experience clearer and more welcoming, so you can properly explore what's inside before deciding on anything. Just a toy

Way too laggy to be of any real use, and not many options to make it more creative. Sad to say, I wish I’d kept my cash.
