Lots to love, but missing a couple things
Coming to write this after the third failure to launch. Can’t start it up to log anything right now.
Kalorie is a pretty great alternative to MyFitnessPal or the former MyPlate if you were into that one. You can copy from previous days, create meals you have often, use a barcode scanner, etc.
My issue was that there isn’t much you can do with the logged data. There are some basic trends, but my training program required that I print out the log for inspection and there is nowhere to do that. They had recommended MyFitnessPal which I didn’t like. Kalorie was a great replacement up to this point. I had a good back/forth with the developer about a couple things, but he stopped talking to me when I asked about this. 😅
I think if the data synced over to Health and the trends using my submitted data was more comprehensive, and there was an export/report function, this could easily be the top of the pile for food logging.

Crashes often
I like the app but it always crashes when I try to scan something
Missing some key features
I very much enjoy the interface of this app and the addition of finding healthy recipes. However the inability to log sugar and sodium when you add an item to the database or your log manually seems pretty counterintuitive to the goal. Definitely not worth paying for if that's not an option. The database is also incredibly lacklustre when trying to scan item barcodes.

Best app I’ve used for counting macros… when it works
Kalorie is by far the most intuitive and user friendly macro counter app I’ve found. I absolutely love it, and find it way easier to use than My Fitness Pal, Carb Manager, or any other macro app. However the last few days it’s been crashing and is absolutely unusable. This should be fixed in an update and when it is, I’ll change my rating to 5 stars.

Good App But…
Love the app, my only concern is that the tracker for burned calories via iPhone steps has a lag issue.
