Basic version was better
The recent revision of the app has brought a lot of new features, but also a lot of bugs. I preferred the simpler more reliable version. For example, whenever I tap the Recent Playlist button within the Playlist surface, the app crashes.

App has been working great til last few days, when it never gets off "buffering." Deleted/reinstalled and issue persists. Can't tell if app is still monitored/updated
Not the App’s fault…
In terms of its musical programming KALX is great! It would be one of my favorite free-form stations, except… their sound quality, at least when streaming, is terrible (I’m not in the Bay Area, so I don’t know how their over-the-air quality is). I really hoped this app would make a difference, but not really. The station is so good musically that I can tolerate the poor sound for a while. And this app is nice enough, even if it couldn’t help the sound quality. It is what I will use for playing this station going forward. Play list is easy to use and stays reasonably up to date. Nice visual design too.

Perfect
This app plays KALX, shows you the playlist, and that’s it. It’s perfect in every way.
Basic app brings my favorite station to my iPad, thank you!
I adore KALX. Very basic and straightforward app. It plays the stream and it shows you what has been played. So far so good!
