Low quality but definitely works
It constantly reads Kanji even if you’re not pointing at Kanji, but it will eventually find the right one if you were actually pointing at a character. It will probably guess 3 to 4 other characters before I find the right one, but I have not found it to be unable to find the right character.
Reads everything as kanji, blank walls..
This picks up everything as kanji, even pointing it at blank walls. There’s no kind of instructions, just goes directly to the camera to pick up kanji, then starts listing things. When I had it reading what I actually was trying to translate, I don’t think it was picking anything up properly as none of what it was listing looked like what I was trying to scan with the camera… Need to go back to the drawing board on this one…

Perfect and simple
Much prefer to apps with camera function bundled with other stuff. Can just open and identify kanji. Has been super helpful for me learning as I go.
