Grateful for Kanopy
Kanopy affords me the ability to see a limited number of films a month. I watch mostly educational/documentary films and have a wider breath of knowledge because of it.
Amazing. Better than Netflix.
What a great resource. Awesome Films eclectic interesting in world class.

App no longer works for me
After using Kanopy successfully for years the app no longer works for me. All videos stop part way through with connectivity issues. I have the app on my Bravia TV and also on my iPad which I use to stream content to my TV. After so many videos stopped playing I have given up on Kanopy. Yesterday I tried to watch Kanopy on the web with my MacBook Pro and stream/mirror to my TV but got the message that encryption does not work. I am extremely disappointed as I've committed to watching only Canadian media. I have no problems whatsoever with the Knowledge Network or CBC Gem app. Please fix this!

Clicking Audio
I love the Kanopy app, which is why it pains me to rate it so low. The audio clicks constantly on Apple devices, and it’s not something Kanopy intends to fix, as folks have been complaining about it for years. Hoping some bad reviews might change things.
“Unknown Error” After Latest Update.

25 mins fits modern attention span
Worked well as intro to topic, with an ominous sense of foreboding based simply on being observant.
6 watches per month/Rentals
This app is still cool, but they aren’t upfront about the fact that it’s not unlimited viewing, and there’s rental deadline. Maybe not worth it for some to create yet another account that will collect and sell your data, for 6 documentaries a month.
Don’t bother
This app is like diarrhea. Just flush it.
Mid-movie problems
Twice now, “A Problem Has Occurred,” and the movie froze with an error message. Both movies bumped back to the start of the film.
I have fast internet and no connection problems.
I love Kanopy, and I appreciate that my library offers it, but it would be nice for it to work properly.

I have gotten refreshed information on various topics that either weren’t available in my academic career or I had no clue that they existed! Thank you for the craftsmanship a and the lovely entertainment that keep my brain well balanced with BBC, PBS and other media that is provided a big win for all!

Given all the streaming services I currently have Kanopy had been largely ignored- until of late. Incredible library of movies/docs etc.
Free and priceless at the same time
I love that my DODID gives me access to a wide range of Great Courses, and PBS content. I also love the foreign short films because it’s something I wouldn't usually see offered on a regular streaming service. This is an invaluable resource, and more people should use it.
