Useful app but could use some improvements
Really like this app -- it generally works and is lightweight. The OCR isn't very accurate though. It will struggle with black backgrounds (black text with a white stroke) for example. Also, I need to zoom in to get better OCR results sometimes. An update to this app and the OCR would make this 5 stars!

super good
really great app for reading manga on the go, thanks whoever made it 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
couldn't ask for more from a free app! android users have all kinds of nifty tools to do this kind of thing so it's nice that someone took the time to make something for ios. Thank you!
Great Potential
This app can be a little rough around the edges at times, but nonetheless I find myself using it every day. No other app offers the same functionality as this one.
Amazing
I usually never write reviews, but for this app it’s worth it. This is by far the best manga reader app on iOS, and the fact that it’s free and without ads is icing on the cake.
Add the ability to chose what we want to parse, or just stop splitting up words.
The way the program automatically splits words makes it impossible to look up some words that can be parsed with yomichan. In addition, this doesn’t work with more that one dictionary it seems
Great for learning
Really useful manga reader for learning Japanese. The OCR and general UX isn’t perfect, but the app is free and it sure beats rewriting kanji on another device to look up definitions!
Support mobi please!
Many manga files are mobi,so please support it!
Best app for its purpose
Firstly, thank you so much Juan. This app is the only one of its kind on the App Store and it has been a big boom to my Japanese immersion. I do have a two requests though: 1. Is it possible to save the list of words that were looked up? (that way I can make Anki cards later) 2. The ability to read txt files or webpages. They’re other apps on the AppStore that allow this, but I haven’t found any that allows you to import your own dictionaries which your app does so well. Maybe this could be a different app with a similar code base minus the OCR.

Problem
When I try to find out what the word i it gives the wrong words help
Pretty great!
This app has a lot of potential to be great, you got : the ability to load your manga in it regardless of page limit, it can ocr an image within seconds, and it has a built in dictionary. I love it! Ha ha, I can see me using this a lot ( no joke, I WILL be using this a lot lol) in addition with kanjitomo( a desktop program) it’ll be a lot easier to read this Japanese anatomy book I recently got and am in the middle of trying to translate into English. I do hope in the future that we can have a text to speech option if possible, idk I just think it would be a cool addition you don’t have to though. Also it be cool to add translated words into a page ( with Furigana , maybe) so itd be easier to read if someone has gotten the Kana down or to place Furigana on an entire page or pdf file. Ha ha I know I’m asking for WAAAAAAY to much but I just like the idea behind this app and want to see it grow. Thanks for making it👍

A worthy app
This is almost everything I hoped for an app. I appreciate that you added the feature to load custom dictionaries. I was wondering if recursive search is planned in a future update? It would totally make it easier for those who are in the monolingual transition.
Would be useful...
but imports manga in the incorrect order
Thank You Dev
Seriously thank you so much, this app is perfect and exactly what I needed, seriously a life saver. Thanks for the hard work that you put into this app, you rock👍
Great app 😁
Simple and easy to use!! Perfect for my Japanese learning journey. Thanks!!
Response from developer
Thank you for your review! I'm constantly working on improving the app. Stay tune for future updates!
It works really well !
I was looking for an app like this since very long time, I was tired of trying to make Windows app run on Mac without getting any results. This works properly, it hasn't missed a Kanji so far, minimalist and easy to use. You can install it both Iphone and Mac, currently running on M1, pretty sure more update will come.
