App flicks on, flicks off
I live in an apartment building with the entrance controlled by the Kastle app. The entrance procedure generally works well - we have key fobs - but the app stinks. I touch the icon, the app flicks on, and immediately flicks off. The building manager is also unable to get the app on my phone to work. It used to work. Now it does not. The manager called Kastle and had to leave a message. No one ever called him back. Bad app. Bad company. No customer service.

Flaky, intermittent
App rarely works consistently. Sometimes it works great, other times I’m locked out of my building / apartment. Really not a great experience.
Access to camera is needed pop up is annoying
Loading spinner shows up all the time. Please make the constant “access to camera is needed” pop up go away. The app does not need to use my camera to unlock doors which I specifically turned off in settings. I don’t care about answering video calls - I simply don’t want to enable the feature.
Useless
Utterly the worst app I have ever had the dishonor of using. Never works, always deletes my apartment so I have to redownload the app every other week. Incredibly useless
Stick with land lines
App is bad but the Kastle functionality goes down every time the internet has a hiccup.
You cannot copy and paste phone numbers into this app. You have to manually enter your guest’s phone number digit by digit.
Most of the time the app won’t even pick up when someone’s trying to call you from the call box.
I really miss the days when the call box would simply just call your phone

this app and company is the absolute worst. the features barely work. the app itself is clunky. if you are touring an apartment that had this company as tech.. don’t walk, run away. it’s a headache and a pain to use.
Visitors
My visitors should be able to tap into my unit too not just a QR code to the building. That literally only works on the main door away from all the parking 😭
Terrible app, unreliable access, zero support
Absolutely terrible experience with Kastle Systems. The mobile access app is unreliable and frequently does not work at all. I’ve been locked out of my own building countless times because the app fails to unlock doors when it should.
I’ve contacted support over and over again. Each time, a technician eventually shows up, has no idea how to fix the issue, says they’ll “escalate it”… and then nothing happens. No follow-up, no fix, no communication. The exact same problem keeps happening.
This is an access control system. Reliability is the entire point. If I can’t count on it to let me into my own building, it’s a complete failure. Avoid if you have any choice.

Annoying
Everytime I open the app it shouldn’t tell me I need to give video permission…every single time. WHY would I want delivery services to see my face to gain entry to drop off a delivery? I just need to see theirs. Something basic as this shows the organization doesn’t care about basic logic/UX Design because no other app does this. Without the video feature the app works perfectly but this annoyance ruins it.

Absolute trash
This app is completely useless. I had been having issues every day for the past 1.5 months. My building can’t figure it out and I don’t know why they would even choose Kastle with the horrible reviews they have. I can’t access my own apt and now I transferred apartments and lost access to the whole building.

Quite literally doesn’t work when I need it. It is 3 am and I can get into everywhere else except my apartment.

Still the worst app
After years, they finally fixed the daily reminder the give them your location. However, now it just doesn’t open doors and only gives a vague error message. My AI could write a better app. Based on the zero testing they do, I bet this company is constantly hacked.

Terrible.
This app is super buggy and doesn’t even work more than half the time. It’s super frustrating.
No functionality
The app has such a limited functionality. To enter visitors into the app, you must manually type in their name and phone number. Since the app is not connected to your contact list, you have to memorize phone numbers like it is 1985.
App keeps on crashing
On the latest iOS the app keeps on crashing after a few seconds of launch
