App loads to slowly to buzz people in
When the app calls me because someone’s at the door, it takes ten seconds to open to allow me to buzz them in, by which point their call has timed out

The app doesn’t save contacts so have to retype all the info and phone number for any visitors and then the visitors tell me the QR code they were sent doesn’t even work at the gate. So far it has been a useless nightmare since my complex switched to this system.

I’ll give it 2 stars because it works for me. That being said, I had my son download it because he needed in my building to take care of my pet when I was gone. Since only one person can use it, it deleted me. I have a vidcom entry service for weekend or after hour deliveries. It’s been calling my son for entry and he’s been ignoring it because it comes up as an unknown number. The app makes the user enter the email and phone number of the resident and reroutes to the phone the app is on. While it seems like a great idea for keyless entry, there are bugs that need to be worked out for non resident relatives.

Doesn’t work since update
Was working fine, if slow. But ever since I updated the app it just spins and then gives me error message.

Doesn’t open door in a timely fashion or at all, and randomly will kick you out of the app and be a nightmare to sign into
Have the developers used their own app?
This app seems like it was designed by a team who has never used their own app. Nothing is intuitive and nothing links to your phone (e.g., contact information). When is the last time you attempted to make improvements?
No widget
It’d be so much easier to have a widget that can unlock doors that are in favourites.
Useless
I haven’t been able to let people into my building since they installed their system. I’ve been complaining for 3 months now with no success. It’s reprehensible to me that I bought a new iPhone and the app worked twice and then stopped working again. Waste of $2,000.

please delete this app as well as your garbage website where you lied about the 4.6/5 star review. this is straight corporate slop, who tf needs a digital key? nobodys been complaing about the nice physical metal key that is always safe in our pockets. oh my phone died, guess i cant unlock my door and have to sleep homeless for the night. wtf. even the "smalt" invention causes less problems than this and its just as dumb and unnecessary

App flicks on, flicks off
I live in an apartment building with the entrance controlled by the Kastle app. The entrance procedure generally works well - we have key fobs - but the app stinks. I touch the icon, the app flicks on, and immediately flicks off. The building manager is also unable to get the app on my phone to work. It used to work. Now it does not. The manager called Kastle and had to leave a message. No one ever called him back. Bad app. Bad company. No customer service.

Flaky, intermittent
App rarely works consistently. Sometimes it works great, other times I’m locked out of my building / apartment. Really not a great experience.
Access to camera is needed pop up is annoying
Loading spinner shows up all the time. Please make the constant “access to camera is needed” pop up go away. The app does not need to use my camera to unlock doors which I specifically turned off in settings. I don’t care about answering video calls - I simply don’t want to enable the feature.

Utterly the worst app I have ever had the dishonor of using. Never works, always deletes my apartment so I have to redownload the app every other week. Incredibly useless
Stick with land lines
App is bad but the Kastle functionality goes down every time the internet has a hiccup.
You cannot copy and paste phone numbers into this app. You have to manually enter your guest’s phone number digit by digit.
Most of the time the app won’t even pick up when someone’s trying to call you from the call box.

this app and company is the absolute worst. the features barely work. the app itself is clunky. if you are touring an apartment that had this company as tech.. don’t walk, run away. it’s a headache and a pain to use.
Visitors
My visitors should be able to tap into my unit too not just a QR code to the building. That literally only works on the main door away from all the parking 😭
