Gute App mit leichten SMB Share Problemen

KeePassium Pro ist bei mir täglich in gebrauch und überzeugt mich mit seinen Funktionen und Usability. Leider hat die App in der aktuellen Version ein Problem beim öffnen von Keepass Datenbanken die auf einem SMB-Share liegen. Die App stürzt ab und man benötig einige Anläufe bis es dann irgendwann funktioniert. Apple ist aber nicht ganz Unschuldig an dem Problem
Meine Ursprüngliche Bewertung der App war wesentlich schlechter die ich aber korrigieren muss da die Entwickler mir eine freundliche und konkrete Erklärung gegeben haben warum das dieses Problem besteht. Ich hoffe auf Updates der App oder auf Apples Korrektur in seinem Umgang mit SMB-Shares.

Прекрасное приложение для энтузиастов, которым хочется иметь максимум контроля над всякими «секьюрными» штуками. Багаж инструментов здесь почти такой же, как в горячо любимой мной KeePassXC, и его с головой хватает для полноценного менеджмента всех своих паролей, конфиденциальных данных и прочего.
Однако, чего я понять не могу, автозаполнение отказывается работать с аппаратным ключом безопасности (а я эту штуку эксплуатирую довольно активно), и в итоге приходится при авторизации где-либо тупо открывать БД и вручную копировать учётные данные. Это вот за это я 6 косарей вывалил? Поддержка аппаратной защиты — единственная, блин, причина была купить именно это приложение, а тут такой облом. Интересно, из-за ограничений платформы такой конфуз случился, или же я споткнулся об косяк разработчика…

Database update questions

Database syncing to Microsoft OneDrive is inconsistent and often doesn’t save records. Often times has to be mitigated by manually entries on either the mobile phone or personal laptop computer.

Love KeePassium!

I was so disappointed when Strongbox DEV turned out to be a sellout, of his great app, to the highest bidder. Leaving users desperately searching for a new alternative that still value your privacy. You guys became my Obi-Wan Kenobi. 🙌

Two requests:
1. Support for other browsers, other than using safari on macOS.

2. Support for local network sync between devices without relying on any other app or cloud service.

KeePass

Good password manager (KeePass standard). European and open source, it stores data in an encrypted file, which can be placed wherever we want, including on our favourite cloud service, allowing us to control synchronisation between different devices. The lifetime licence worth it compared to subscriptions.

PS: If you could add a KeePassXC icon, that would be great.

Bon gestionnaire de mot de passe (de norme KeePass). Européen et open source, il stocke les données dans un fichier chiffré, à placer où nous le voulons notamment sur notre service de cloud préféré et ainsi maîtriser la synchronisation entre différents supports. La licence a vie est d’ailleurs vite rentabilisée face a des abonnements.

PS : Si vous pouviez ajouter une icone KeePassXC, ça serait sympa.

Soooooo Disappointing!

I had such high hopes to switching to Keepassium, after Strongbox turned out to be a sellout. I even bought the Keepassium lifetime pro subscription, only to find out the Autofill feature is down right useless! Constantly telling me I’m out of RAM.

The only way I was able to make it intermittently work, other than tapping to retry was to put the settings at their lowest security settings. And even then it functioned barely half the time. Whereas EVERY other password manager app could and would function at much higher encryption settings with a larger database and old devices. So don’t tell me it’s my device memory is the issue.

Your device memory is not an issue. The issue is the combination of database size, encryption settings and system's limit that allows AutoFill to use only 120 MB of memory. Even if your device has 100x of that available. Unlike some other password managers, KeePassium AutoFill has to load, decrypt, decompress and keep the whole database in memory. It cannot ask a server to send only a few entries; it has to be the whole file. It cannot decrypt only part of the database — it's all or nothing, by design. No tricks or shortcuts: it's the same heavy-duty encryption, but in a very memory-tight environment. This is a challenging, but manageable task. The reason why I could switch to Apple

This is an excellent app and the most important app I use across all platforms and devices. I can’t recommend KeePassium enough as a password manager. Best-in-class integration into iOS/iPadOS/macOS autofill system. If it weren’t for KeePassium, I could never have switched over to using Apple products. Thank you for the excellent software.

Danke, dass es eine Open Source Alternative zu Strongbox gibt. Ich habe mir die App KeePassium die letzten Tage angeschaut und bin jetzt nun zu KeePassium Pro gewechselt.

Nachdem ich KeePassium Pro (Lifetime Lizenz) schon länger auf meinem iPhone nutze und sehr zufriedenen bin, ist endlich die App für MacOS da. Kauft die App, es lohnt sich. Vielen Dank!

Touch-ID genutzt, nie ein Kennwort angelegt …

war so lange kein Problem, bis Touch-ID wegen meinem eigenen Fehler nicht mehr funktionierte (verschmutzte Finger = wurden nicht erkannt). Dann wurde ein Kennwort abgefragt, das aber nie angelegt worden war. Und nun? APP komplett löschen klappt nicht - damit ist auch keine neu Installation (ggf mit Neu-Kauf) auf dem aktuellen iPhone8plus möglich. Sehr schade, denn die APP hat mir die letzten Jahre immer wieder sehr geholfen.

Danke für die Antwort, doch danach hatte ich nicht gefragt. KeePass-Dateien und ihre Kennworte zum öffnen sind bekannt, da ich sie auf dem PC erstelle und bearbeite, bevor ich sie aufs Handy kopiere.
Mein Problem ist das KeePassiumPro-Programm, welches sich auf meinem iPhone ohne Kennwort nicht öffnen lässt. Und vollständig entfernen lässt sich KeePassiumPro auch nicht.

Sehr gute App, Support blitzschnell

Funktioniert sehr gut und zuverlässig. Es gibt oft Updates und Verbesserungen.
Ich hatte heute Kontakt mit dem Support wegen einer Lizenzfrage. Alles ging superschnell und eine kulante Lösung wurde gefunden.

Einfach mit dem keepass am PC synchronisierbar. Und vor allen Dingen werden keine privaten erfasst. Dafür bin ich dann auch gerne bereit, Geld auszugeben.

Best KeePass app for iOS

I’ve extensively reviewed and trialled the best solution for managing passwords across Windows computers and iOS devices and KeePass on Windows with Keepassium Pro on iOS, coupled with your favourite cloud storage service is definitely the best solution. This app still has further room for improvement but it is constantly being updated and improved. It has a family license for kids to manage their own password databases and it allows shared access to password databases using many cloud storage services.

Datenschutz!!!

Ich nutze Keepass schon sehr lange am PC und KeePassium seit fast 4 Jahren. Ich lege sehr hohen Wert auf Datenschutz wenn es sich um meine Passwörter handelt. Deswegen bevorzuge ich eine Open Source Lösung hier die öffentlich überwacht wird. KeePassium erhebt zum Beispiel keine Daten - dafür zahle ich bei einer App auch die meine Passwörter verwaltet!
