Great content but……
Great content, but the app when it comes to recording is extremely laggy, buggy, and extremely frustrating to record a video then to find out that the audio did not record properly or for some reason the app goes dark and you just lose the recording that took me 10 times to dob.
The Content Is Strong — The App Needs Serious Attention
I’ve been using the Keeping Current Matters app consistently for over a year, and I want to start by saying that I don’t leave negative reviews lightly. Unfortunately, after providing repeated feedback over a long period of time—with little to no improvement—I feel it’s important to share my experience for both KCM and other users.
The content itself is strong. It’s easy to understand, relevant to real estate professionals, and quick to adapt. That said, the app experience and customer support around product improvements have been consistently frustrating.
One challenge is that the content is not localized, so I rewrite and localize scripts using ChatGPT. After creating new scripts in RealTalk, I paste them into the edit feature in the app. When it comes time to record, the teleprompter window only takes up about one-third of the screen, which makes reading difficult. The speed options are also very limited and spaced too far apart, often forcing me to re-edit scripts just to match a readable pace.
I’ve shared this feedback with KCM multiple times and suggested something as simple as allowing a larger script display—similar to other teleprompter apps that use most of the screen—but nothing has changed. By comparison, my standalone teleprompter app works flawlessly and is significantly easier to use.
There are also recurring technical issues:
• Videos occasionally fail to save, resulting in an endless loading screen and forcing a re-record.
• When using a Bluetooth microphone, the app frequently gets stuck on a “new audio found” error—even when nothing has changed.
• In some cases, hitting record jumps the script to the end and prevents scrolling back to the beginning, requiring a full app restart.
• Editing scripts on the desktop version caused formatting issues severe enough that I had to abandon the workflow entirely.
To be fair, on good days everything works smoothly. I can edit a script and record a video in under 10 minutes. On bad days, however, these issues turn a simple task into a 30–60 minute ordeal.
I genuinely want KCM to succeed, and I believe this app could be excellent with some focused product improvements. While there may be some user error at times, I use many other apps daily without this level of friction. When I want a fast, frustration-free experience, I often default to my teleprompter app instead of KCM—which shouldn’t be the case for a tool built specifically for this purpose.
I hope KCM takes long-time user feedback more seriously and invests in improving the app experience. The content deserves a platform that works as well as it does.

FREEZES WHEN YOU TRY TO SAVE VIDEO
This is so frustrating to finally decide to start recording videos, paying $100/mo for the feature and it freezes out literally takes multiple tries at 5-10min each to save. Literal waste of time. I will be cancelling if this isn’t fixed soon.
Waste of Money
App barely works and their customer service has gone way down in quality
Freezing every time
Super frustrating to see great content we could be using for recording videos but freezes and freezes can’t save without trying 5 times .
I was told year ago was fixed not yet. With A.I. now I’m considering terminating my membership and going back to teleprompter for recording and using my local mls graphs.

No save
When I finish recording the videos I get an error and it doesn't save them, it just wastes my time
Content great but app very difficult to save and edit
I love the content and they did a much better job lately, allowing to be edited but for a while now I keep trying and trying my app freezes every time I try to edit or to save it. Last year at a summit event they told me they would follow up and try to work with me since I’m consistent on using it and they never did so for that reason the slow limited saving editing and customer service. I will take one star out. And is not my phone so yes use for the content be aware of the bugs.

Not worth it
The app is too expensive. In the beginning, everything seemed fine, but it has several limitations when you try to automate posts. The worst part is that when I tried to cancel, they only paused my membership instead of fully canceling it. Later, they reactivated the subscription without my consent—something I only noticed when checking my bank account. When I complained, their response was: “We do not offer any refund of membership fees prior to cancellation.” So be careful—make sure they don’t just pause your membership instead of actually canceling it.

I dont think app is able to be used in the new update
Great app but keeps freezing up
I have deleted and redownloaded this app several times and it is still freezing when I try to record a video? Please have someone call me.

Frozen
The app doesn’t allow me to sign in .
It appears as a frozen screen with no cursor in sight to enter my credentials.
Very disappointed.

Hoping for more adjustments
Long time KCM user and got the app for Real Talk videos. Would like to see a finer adjustment ability to the script speed. 1/10 increments would be more helpful than 2/10 increments. Also, it would be great if the recording window was shrunk a bit to allow more room for script scrolling on smaller devices. I find it is easier to use the iPad due to the smaller screen issues noted above.
Any plans for a native iPad app?
