Terrible App no updates

I’m really disappointed in this app, it’s absolutely pathetic. I can’t change the temperature at all. It constantly signs me out. The scheduling is extremely basic. There is constant issues.

It’s a shame because my air conditioner is good. But the app really, really lets it down. Last time I buy a kelvinator, if they’re advertising the air conditioner with control via the app & then the app looks like it’s made for a year 10 computer class assessment, imagine the other places they’re cutting corners. Pick up your game.

The app has now started to stop working I expected more

*edit* the scheduling section has started to not schedule on and or off. Which has meant that my heater has run for a full days rather than turn off when it was scheduled to.

Will be calling helpdesk, but given the app was updated 6years ago I guess it’s a legacy app and I got screwed.

I love the idea of the app, but expected more. For example only 17 schedule options available? That’s not even an on off twice a day. I would have loved to see some ability to schedule based on internal temp- but that may be a hardware thing? But in the app, it would be great to have the ability to schedule the unit to turn on if outside and or inside drops to a certain temp- and turn off when it it at a certain temp. The app generally works ok, but basic.

Five Years Broken - Never Fixed

I purchased Kelvinator air conditioning units 5 years ago, partly based on the advertised smart home functionality via this app. The app has been fundamentally broken since day one and has NEVER received a single update to fix these critical issues during the entire warranty period of my units.
Persistent Problems:
• Constant sign-outs - I’m forced to log back in multiple times per week, defeating the purpose of quick temperature adjustments
• Connection failures - The app consistently fails to connect to my units when I’m away from home, making the “control from anywhere” feature completely useless
• Function errors - Basic features randomly throw errors, requiring force-closing and restarting the app with no guarantee they’ll work
• Severely lacking features - Compared to competitors like Daikin, Mitsubishi, or even budget brands, this app is embarrassingly basic. No scheduling reliability, no energy monitoring, no useful automation
The Real Issue:
This isn’t a bug - it’s abandonment. Five years without a single update while competitors continuously improve their apps shows complete disregard for customers who paid premium prices for “smart” functionality.
Under Australian Consumer Law, products must work as advertised for a reasonable period. An app that’s been broken for the entire warranty period of the hardware it’s meant to control is potentially a major consumer issue.
To Kelvinator: Fix your app or admit you can’t support smart features and compensate customers accordingly.
To potential buyers: Factor in that you’ll be buying “dumb” air conditioners, because this app adds zero value.

Do not buy this product absolute rubbish

If I could give minus stars I would there have been no updates to the app in years. Unsure if there is any support anymore. The app will only allow one person in the house to operate the aircons it use to allow both myself and my husband but not any more for the past three years been waiting for an update to see if it will get fixed but nope nothing.

By way of all the other reviews looks like they have just abandoned the app and the users.

Do not buy any of their products true this app you will be heavily disappointed.

Failed to get appliance status

It was good but from last week it is happening every time i open this app and trying to run any aircon it comes up with message “failed to get appliance status”. Tried on/off devices and reinstalling the app and registering again but nothing. Same issue

Scheduling improvements

It would be great if you could have the unit not beep when it’s scheduled to start, not great to be woken up by the heater beeping at 4am, if the light could also be set not to turn on would be another nice thing to have. Would also be nice to have a update so it connects the ac unit, one good option that they took away was to be able to start the unit when not home. That was handy when coming home in winter to a preheated house but that’s no longer a option.

Would not have bought Kelvinators if I’d read the reviews first

The whole point in buying 3 Kelvinator units for our home was so that they could all be in the same app. But the app is useless and a cheap selling point (that works). We regularly can’t connect to the units while within the house. We have never connected to them from outside the house which was the whole point in buying them.
I wish we’d checked these reviews first as there are no happy customers and we would have bought another brand.

They haven’t even bothered with recent bug fixes. That clearly shows how much they do not support their own app.

Good but no support

Can we get some Apple home/Siri support or at the very least, shortcut support?
I have used the app for nearly 3 years and I have been quietly waiting and hoping something might be released.
I feel like there are other brands that could have been better connected to smart home automation.. what do you think??

Can apps be made any worse

Now that you say it this app cannot not get any worse, doesn’t work with Alexa, doesn’t work over cellular network, no integration with HomeAssistant or HACS it sometimes doesn’t work over my basic wifi they I had to setup as it didn’t work over my iOT wifi. lemme known when this apps have some updates. The product is really too

Can we just make it work?

It's not that hard! It NEVER stayed connected to the aircon. I am seriously sick to death of seeing "Appliance reset, please reconfigure" Falsely advertising that it's able to be controlled remotely from anywhere is nearly criminal.
When it does work, it's fit for purpose.

Can control the AC, could be more intuitive

As mentioned by others I initially struggled to connect to wifi. Somehow ended up connecting through AP mode. Was about to control AC from within the wifi network but was not able to connect from outside. I redid the config, this time with my iPhone in airplane mode. Connected easily the first time, now able to connect to AC from outside home too. Electrolux should improve set up instructions. Should make app more intuitive

For me - 1 fault

This app works well for me except for one fault. It regularly logs me out. It is frustrating to try to turn on the aircon and always having to log in. It needs fixing.

App NEVER stays connected to Aircon

The whole reason I purchased this aircon was to be able to turn it on or off throughout the day when not at home using the app but it will NEVER stay connected to the unit and pairing is a pain…..although I have become pretty good at it due to the amount of times I have to reconnect per week. If you’re looking for the ability to turn your aircon off or on remotely I suggest you don’t buy a kelvinator and don’t download this app

Please fix many issues

There are several issues with this app. The main one is I cannot add the A/C unit on my latest iPhone. When I share it from my old device I simply see the unit with a green cloud and cannot connect to the unit. Finally I am not sure why this app has had no updates since March 2020. Really disappointed

Works most of the time

Regularly logs me out. When paired with google home, very lengthy delay in any commands. Recently, google can’t access the aircon at all anymore even though I can still use the app. Biggest bug bear is that I need to turn the LED off every time via the app, extremely frustrating that that setting can’t be memorised when all others can (fan, temp etc).

Does the job, mostly

As others have mentioned. The timer function is currently not visible in the app, while it is possible to still set a timer, it’s impossible to know what timer you are setting as you can’t see anything. I sent an online enquiry regarding the issue and I suggest other user do the same to ensure it’s resolved sooner rather than later.
Other than that, the app functions well. I had some difficulty setting it up initially, but got there in the end. The GUI is pretty basic which is fine because it’s easy to navigate, but an update to make it a bit more modern wouldn’t hurt. I would also love to see HomeKit support added or at least Siri integration so that I can turn the air con on and off with voice commands.

It alright

The aircon itself is amazing and the app syncs perfectly but just when putting timers on the apps it is just a plain white screen but I can still feel the vibrations on my phone when scrolling through the invisible numbers and yes u can put timers on with the remote but it only goes up on half-hours meaning not lots of freedom and variety of minutes

In conclusion it’s a great app just need a bit of tweaking on the timer area

Timer function needs fixing

Great app overall but since last update the timer and schedule function do not work as no numbers appear.

Timer needs fixing

App works great. Just can’t use the timer function as nothing appears. It’s just a white screen. Can feel the scrolling on the numbers by vibrations, but you can’t see them. Can this be fixed

Great app

My dad struggled connecting his and mums phone and thought this was a dud app but of course when I, the millennial, took over,I got it working and all connected and was pretty easy. It’s very handy. Great app
