Shaming moms for not pumping enough
I used this app 3 years ago when my baby was in the NICU and it worked well enough—mostly I cherished the pictures the nurses sent.
But I just opened up the app again today, and was greeted by this message (took a screenshot but it doesn’t look like reviews allow photos). It said: “MOMMY, YOUR BABY NEEDS YOU. Babies thrive on breast milk. Every second you pump is a second less for your baby in the NICU.” As a mom who did pump for my NICU baby, I’m honestly disgusted by how this message shames moms who either choose not to pump, or do pump but feel like they’re not able to produce enough, or don’t pump as frequently because they have a job/other kids/a disability/who knows what other life circumstances that might make it challenging to maintain a schedule of pumping around the clock every 3 hours (which is what my hospital recommended). And adding the completely unsupported assertion that there’s some kind of 1 to 1 ratio of time you fail to pump that will keep your kid in the NICU longer feels like a cruel way to push already stressed and guilt-laden moms over the edge.
Please do better, Kare Connect.

It’s good
This app could be better if we are able to communicate with the nurses directly. We are able to message the lactation consultant but not the RN who is directly taking care of our child?
I do like the graph of your milk production, that is helpful to see how you are doing.

This app saved me
After waking up for a coma 19 days after my son was born at 29 weeks, this app was all I had since I missed out on his first 19 days and many more after as I recovered in a different location. The daily photo uploads of my son kept me going. I am forever grateful.
Great App!
I used this app while my son was in the NICU and it was so helpful! The nurses sent us pictures and updates every morning and evening and made us feel looped in. Loved having it as an access point for communication and tracking.
Lovee
Nothing is better than getting pictures and positive updates from your NICU baby while you’re at home. You can get updates from the nurses too. This app was helpful for me when my baby was born premature at 32 weeks
Easy to use
Very easy to use and a great app for a communication between parents and the hospital.
GREAT APP
Legit the best app ever!!’ I’m a first time mom and this app is a life saver!!! Only thing I dislike is that you have to log in every time instead of Face ID or Touch ID, and that it’s in military time. If they were to add setting to be able to pick what you wanted for those options this would be a 5 star app. But I’m rating it 4 because it lacks those two things I feel are extremely helpful.

Great in theory, some features don’t work
The overall idea and main features of this app are great. Tracking your milk output/inventory between you and your little one in the NICU. But some things are lacking. Reminders don’t work, no matter how you set them they don’t save. Also it is very annoying to have to input your password every time you open the app/every 3 hours or so. Should have an auto save/login option. Just some friendly UX pointers that you could improve on with this fantastic app idea!

Good except for a couple small fixes!
The app is decent. I like the trending and tracking the milk for my baby. However a couple things drive me mad. 1. No ability for face recognition password. Typing it in everytime is annoying. 2. App speed. It takes a bit to load and just moves a little slow. Otherwise it’s great... love the ability to get pics too!

Great
I’m a new mommy and having a baby in the NICU is so new to me and overwhelming but this app really help ease the worries. Receiving photos and able to chat with Lactation and keep track of your milk supply is so helpful.
Love it
I really love this app it helps tracks supply of my milk. Love how they give you the option to chat with your lactation consultant. What I really love is the daily photos of my son through out the day. Not having him home is sad but, seeing the photos brightens my day every time I receive one. Thanks a lot .

Simple easy & trackable
The nurses are able to provide me pictures of my baby thru the app, there’s a chat feature and most importantly I can see the stock of milk they have. It’s straight forward and I like that it gives me charts to see how my production is.
Amazing!!
I love the app, the photos, the inventory. It has made our NiCU experience a little easier. I have struggle with breastfeeding in the past, this keeps me organized and motivated. The only things that I think would make it a perfect app is better and faster login, like fingerprint or saved password and that the nurses receive push notices or alerts for the chat messages.

This app is awesome!!!
The tracking of the milk is really important to see the supply and demand of the baby’s intake.
I really like that I get updated pictures w/ very cute comments. Keep them coming!!

Awesome app for seeing baby and tracking milk!
In love this app. Seeing my little one and keeping track of pumping is motivating. The communication with lactation consultants is also a plus. I think my only critique is an easier way to sign in or remember password. Passcode or fingerprint maybe. Bonus if communication allowed us to talk to the nurse currently attending the baby. Thanks for the great app.

Pictures are the best part.
It was a great app for my wife to track her pumping, but as a father I loved logging in to look at the pictures the nurses would post. It allowed me to feel connected to him even though I wasn’t there.
2nd time NICU mom/ great app
This is my first time ever writing a review for an app. I truly enjoy this app and what it’s meant to do. I would’ve loved to have this available to me when I had my first round in the NICU. It would’ve Mazda’s my life so much less stressful.
I love how the nurses are able to provide pictures of my twin girls so I don’t miss out on those so important cutesy pictures 😊.
The only con I have about this app is that it doesn’t transition into an app that mothers can continue to use once their babies come home. to have to search for another app to help continue your pumping schedule/ tracking system that is as good as the one you’ve been using for however long your child is in the NICU can be tedious.
***My suggestion to developers is to make an app for mothers once they transition from the hospital to home.***

Kare ❤️
This is a really great and helpful app. The only thing I’d like to see added, is when signing in with the option to automatically sign in with fingerprint or remember ID & Password so that you don’t have to punch in the password each time you login
I’m in love
I really love this app❤️. It’s keeps me in the know when it’s comes to my baby. I really enjoy the pictures I receive when I’m not there with her.
Great app!
I love using this app. It provides helpful reminders to keep you on track. I like that I’m able to see the progress that I’m making as well as my inventory of milk for my LO at home and in the hospital. I also love the fact that the nurse that was caring for my LO was able to send me a picture of her while I was at home. It was comforting. I do just wish that the app could add an optional timer or the option to put what time you started pumping and the end time instead of just one time overall. I think that that would help with keeping track of how long you pump each time to also keep you on track and more closely monitor your output. I do also wish that it provided an option to still enter pumping seasons or bottles without the required labels. I do understand that the labels help to better ensure the integrity of each bottle but sometimes I run out of labels and am not able to provide the bottle number at that time which makes me have to go back into the app at a later time to enter the information. But overall I really do love this app.
