Needs a place to put notes in

I like the app but it would help if I could put notes in saying that the reading was after a 24 fast or the reading was an hour after a meal.

Response from developer

Please scroll down in the reading entry screen to add notes.

Simple and easy to use

This is a basic and easy to use app that assist you in tracking glucose and ketone. I wish you could also track weight so you could view how changes effect weight more easily.

Cannot edit once recorded

Not sure why this app has such a high rating. This app is way worse and frustrating than the free one I was already using. This app does not allow to edit the entry once a record is saved. That’s a bad design.

Note to developer: if you are going to charge for an app, first please provide the most basic feature for a tool. No editing... that’s laughable for a logging app.

I hope this concern is fixed soon in upcoming updates; then it may deserve a 3 star. UI and controls need a lot of work too. It is messy and clunky AF.

Hello. To edit a reading just tap on the reading from any of the the "history" views. In the glucose or ketone views you can tap anywhere on the line. In the "both" view tap directly on the reading. Once you tap, the edit view will pop up. Do your change and press "update" on the top right.

Beautifully Simple Data Tracker

I’ve been keto for years now, but recently gotten into intermittent and extended fasting so I decided I wanted to do more comprehensive tracking to see how fasting affects my levels vs. just keto alone. I have pretty much tried every app available that tracks ketones and glucose, and only one even comes close to matching the functionality of KetoLogger. KetoLogger wins hands down because of its ease of use. No clutter from things I don’t need like meal logging/intro to keto articles/social functions. I have other apps for food logging and just wanted something where I could easily see my ketones and glucose in one place, and as a data lover the overlaid graphs is a huge plus. Don’t be afraid to pull the trigger on the price, you’ll get way more out of it than your daily Starbucks coffee. For advanced ketoers, this app is just pure gold.

Also, I contacted the developer about a small issue, and he his response was quick and thorough. He’s got plans for updates, so the app is only going to get better!

FIXED: Currently does not work with KetoMojo device

Exporting from KetoMojo app start KetoLogger app but no results ever appear!

Edited.

Well the developer responded quickly an released a fix. Great support. Worth our support!

Response from developer

Update: Please update to the latest version of Ketologger ( v1.1.1). It turns out that the generated KetoMojo CSV file can have either 12 or 24 hour time which was unexpected. The latest version adds support for 24 hour time. Another Canadian user experienced that problem. --- The Keto Mojo csv file is supported for import. You should either see the import helper screen or a screen that says there was an error and offers to upload a sample file securely and anonymously for analysis. That would indicate that the file was successfully sent to Ketologger. Please take a look at this FAQ entry for more information: http://ketologger.com/blog/2019-08-08-ketologger-import-export-readings-csv If that doesn't help then please send a mail to support@ketologger.com so we can figure out what the problem is.

Exactly what I need!

This app is great, its exactly what I need. Simple, yet powerful. You can log blood sugar glucose as well as ketones. It automatically gives graphs cor Day/Week/Month. You can export data and print or graph and give to your doctor.

Its pretty much perfect!

UPDATED Review

****UPDATE 8/21****

The developer responded to me quickly and helped me to make changes to my file (which had been corrupted and had some minor errors e.g. capitalizing the header fields). The import worked perfectly...five stars for the app and the quick service. Thanks Rob!

I have tried to edit my .csv to the exact detail required and it will still not import. I have sent a file forward and will re-evaluate my rating and review if/when the developer can fix the app.

Response from developer

Hello. Thanks for the comment. Sorry you're having trouble. There are a few "rules" that must be followed when forming the CSV file. The samples I've seen uploaded didn't do that. That's why they were rejected by Ketologger. (Ketologger being a bit picky about the file format is required to ensure that data is imported correctly.) The replies here get squashed so I created a FAQ post that will most likely be helpful. http://ketologger.com/blog/2019-08-18-ketologger-hand-made-csv-file-tips (Or just go to ketologger.com and follow the FAQ link.) Failing that please send an email to support@ketologger.com and well get your files importing.

Perfect

Love it, meets my needs. And doesn't pilfer my information. Also there are no monthly subscription fees.

Super App, benutze Sie im Rahmen der Ketogenen Ernährung, bei meinen Schwerbehindertem Kind mit Epilepsie
gleich die richtige Tabelle und graphische Darstellung
Export klappt super, jedenfalls mit dem IPhone
Danke an die Entwickler dieser App

Tracks GKI

Nothing fancy gets the job done, tracks GKI.

Worth it

Experimenting with low carb, keto, and fasting. This app provides a visual representation, and helps me see important relations between
(On the one hand)
—my nutrition (or lack of!) in the last few hours, and
—how I feel

And (on the other)

—my blood sugar, and
—my ketone (alternate fuel/fuel from fat) levels

With this, in time, I hope to have a strong internal sense of these.

So, it’s incredibly important, what this app helps us do. And I’m pleased with how it does it.

One suggestion might be adding the readings for hematocrit and hemoglobin, which these blood tests also provide. Another would be allowing the app to sync with keto mojo, et al, test company apps. . .

And this brings me to another point. I suggested this to the maker of the app. He was incredibly responsive. And said he was already on one of those. My hat is off to him.

I have no relation, financial or otherwise, to the app or it’s maker. But I’ve found it useful. And given that the costs of a blood test or two exceed the cost of this app, I don’t think you can go wrong in using it to track many of these tests. It is the best app I’ve found to do so. And in doing so, it does not require sharing a lot of personal info either

Hello, Thanks for the very kind review. Version 1.1.0 has the ability to import from Keto Mojo (the formats I'm aware of or submit a sample file if it has changed). Hematocrit and hemoglobin aren't yet supported but some of the work "under the hood" for this last update is paving the way for addition of other reading types.

KetoLogger is meets the need

KetoLogger is a pretty simple application, but it gets the job done. It would be nice if an additional graft was added to show the GKI (Glucose-Ketone Index) over the ranges such as:
Anything above 9 means your body has not transitioned into a fat-burning state.
A 6-9 GKI demonstrates a low level of ketosis: This is appropriate for those who want to lose weight or maintain optimal health.
A 3-6 GKI demonstrates moderate levels of ketosis: This is appropriate for addressing many common metabolic diseases including insulin resistance, Type 2 diabetes, or obesity.
A less than 3 GKI is a high level of ketosis: This is typically used for addressing epilepsy and cancers. Entering this high level of ketosis periodically each year can be beneficial for anyone hoping to use ketosis for disease prevention.

Works Great

Been using this app for a few months to track my blood ketones and glucose for weight loss and autophagy. Very useful and easy to use

Exactly what I was looking for!

I’m using Keto Mojo to measure my glucose and ketos and was looking for a way to record my results. KetoLogger works great. I like the graph and simplicity of entering the data. Maybe in the future adding some sort of comparative analysis or normative charts would make it even better! Bravo Zulu!

No apple health

Works well enough but doesn’t communicate with apple health which I use for all my health data

Does the basics very well

Does exactly as advertised. Easy to use. Good app for basic keto diet tracking.

Future requests:
- ability to tag a measurement with post/pre-workout and before/after meal (AC/PC)
- ability to track weight in the same easy way.

Not bad

Pretty basic app. It does not sync across my devices so if I enter data on my iPad, it does not show up on my phone.

Wonderful App

I would give it 5 stars if I could update my data
between my ipad and my iphone
it may be user error
if so please tell me how to join them and I will give it 5 stars!!!
🙃

Response from developer

Thanks for the kind review. The latest version of Ketologger allows full import/export of the reading data. Please see this post on the details of how to do that: http://ketologger.com/blog/2019-08-08-ketologger-import-export-readings-csv

Perfect!

This app is just what I was looking for. It’s simply a place to log glucose and ketone results. You can see the results on a graph over time. You can also see the Glucose to Ketone ratio. Thanks for this great app. One enhancement I would suggest is to allow custom tags for the results. I typically test before and after meals. Sometimes also after exercise and after coffee. I would like to be able to compare results across the same tag. Even without this, the app is amazing.

Exactly what I needed. Thank you

I love it when someone builds the perfect thing I need.
