Now just bait for a forced upgrade

App has been dumbed down to the point of useless so you can be nagged to upgrade to some subscription garbage.

Want to generate a basic shape…yep, upgrade!

I already pay for Apple One and this stuff is a kick in the guts.

It’s a completely broken app.

In all my years of Apple software. This is the worst I’ve seen an app perform. All it can do is open. The second I add an image I get the spinning beach ball of death. Im running an M3 Mac on there latest OS. Crazy.

It

Didn’t let me do anything so it’s bad

What’s the point?

This is genuinely one of the worst programs of any kind that I’ve ever used. I’m blown away at the design decisions made here in which the entirety of the available toolbar is dedicated to tools that have the AI make the presentation for you rather than allow me actual creative control over what I’m making

Bad timing for this- much better alternatives if it’s just another subscription.

So many great AI slide makers out there it’s absolutely the wrong moment to charge a subscription for what used to be a value added suite for MacOS. A quick way to make Keynote and the other apps which used to be a great advantage for the Mac completely irrelevant.

If you want an app where you can present edit and photoshop THIS S THE APP FOR YOU

Don’t update

If you have a MacBook Pro with a touch bar (which I love to use with Pages, Numbers, and Keynote) DO NOT UPDATE THESE APPS! Apple has decided to quietly remove all compatibility between THEIR touch bar and THEIR productivity apps, so you’re forced to go back to the archaic slow-bro option of sifting through the options on the side, rather than effortlessly reaching up one inch with your index finger to add/remove/change a section in the document/spreadsheet/presentation. In other words, the new version is trash. What a lazy, unwanted/unwarranted end to a such a wonderful tool that sped up my projects.

Creator’s Studio < Willy’s Chocolate Experience

Dear Apple, did any of your employees actually test this? Remember that theme park in Scotland in 2024 where people were charged over 25 GBP for a Wonkaland experience and it was basically a sparsely decorated warehouse, with a handful of embarrassed staff who were serving people small cups of jelly beans? This is what the creator’s studio is like. I took up the free trial after controlling my dissatisfaction with the recent iWork apps changes and deciding to give it the benefit of the doubt. I’ve tried to use it for slide generation, image editing, image generation. Honestly it’s astounding that this was produced by one of the world’s most valuable EVER tech companies. I think as a challenge/punishment, Apple should challenge themselves to only use materials made via the creator’s suite when they make marketing materials. Get the Keynote auto slide generator to make your product launch presentations. Just warn everyone beforehand so they can make informed decisions about what to do with their stock.

Adverts

Not as bad as it was but non removable advertising still. Why? Just makes the whole thing look cheap. Apple is meant to be premium.

I hate it

It keeps crashing

Very good

It’s just like power point but Apples version!!(but obviously better than power point!!)

Now unusable

The subscription sledgehammer has rendered Keynote unusable. What used to be my go-to, full-featured alternative to PowerPoint is now full of generative nonsense, with previous ways of creating content hidden somewhere…the key (bad pun intended) being "hidden."

Disappointing, disappointing!!

Bought Apple just to get away from Microsoft subscription.

Bought Apple computer because I couldn’t stand Microsoft subscription. The Apple productivity apps being available without a subscription was the selling point for me. But that’s no longer the case.

Not Power Point

I have used Power Point in the past and found it much more intuitive to use. Keynote is missing the most obvious navigational buttons on display. I felt it was cumbersome. I love the idea of having images and text generated for me but chose not to use it.

Originally a good app, now full of ads

Has adverts for an AI service. The icon is bouncing in my dock, I click it, and there’s an advert. Apple losing taste.

Good

Pretty good just like power point but without all of the weird stuff just straight editing and has fixing tools

Crash all the time

Crashing, not syncing, constant issues damaging smooth experience and collaboration. And it needs to close everything to update, and to enable collaboration.

Exceeds Expectations

Not sure why they had to create a new app vs. Updating the old app, but it works as expected and exceeds expectations.

Good job

I enjoy using this app for my school presentations a lot 😁

So glad I switched to this app, except….

I have been using Keynote for building my new presentations, which would be used for teaching some day. However, I have run across an issue: I go to rename my presentation and immediately, when going back to view the thumbnail, the new name won’t show, neither does the tag I choose. This had happened a few times so far, no reason. So I kept going back and renaming, but to no avail. This problem needs fixing, thanks.
