Incredibly frustrating
Yes, the built-in AI tools can be helpful; but this app requires AI to rewrite and customize to pretty much every extent. You cannot change details of your final design like format very easily, like you have the ability to do when using a simple application like Docs. If you want to edit the design, you have to re-enter every detail into a new resume draft, imagine like creating a new project on Canva every time you insert a theme you don’t like.

Great Resume Builder, But Beware of the Double Subscription
I really liked the resume builder itself. It was easy to use, the templates looked professional, and I was able to create a great resume right from my phone.
However, I want to warn others about the subscription. I purchased the Premium version through the mobile app, assuming it would also give me Premium access when I logged into the website on my computer using the same account. While my resume was there, I couldn’t download or access the Premium features unless I purchased another Premium subscription for the web version. I ended up paying twice just to access the same resume on a different device.
The resume builder is excellent, but this separate billing between the mobile app and website was frustrating and wasn’t clear before I subscribed. If you plan to work on your resume across both your phone and computer, make sure you understand how the subscriptions work before paying.

Just to clarify, the mobile app offers two subscription options: a mobile-only plan at a discounted price, and a Web + Mobile plan that includes access on both platforms. This is shown in the pricing, as the web version includes many more advanced features, while the mobile app focuses on the core resume-building experience. That said, we’re sorry this wasn’t clear in your case. Kick Resume was able to update and enhance my technical resume with amazing speed and accuracy. The A.I. recommendations really polished up what was already a great resume and created some outstanding cover letters. This will be my resume platform from now on.
