J ai eu cette application étant enfant et adolescente c est une super application si vous voulez enlever la liberté à votre enfant si vous voulez un enfant qui ne vous confie plus rien qui ne vous fond pas confiance, quand j était petite j ai vécu beaucoup de moment difficile et j’avais de m échapper en regardant des films ou juste en écoutant de la musique cette application m en a totalement empêché. J avais aussi la peur de ne pas pouvoir être joignable par mes amis ou autres et cette appli a complètement renforcé ma peur car un jour une amis à moi ma app car elle était dépressive et ça aurait pu mal tourné et je n’ai pas pu répondre à cause de cela, en plus je me sentais complètement observé je ne pouvais rien faire sans que ma mère voit tout ce que je faisais sur mon téléphones, j était ado de 14 ans donc je me suis renfermé et je n ai plus rien confier à mes parents bref c est une application de contrôle et non de sécurité

Battery Usage
I mean the apps fine in general but it drains WAY too much battery and I have to charge my phone once a day, so it’s really annoying and hard to manage.

I am 12 years old and my mom put this app on my phone recently.
and it has been nothing but unnecessary app blocking and random glitches. My mom got this app because she thought I was spending way too much time on my phone, which is OK to put an time limit and more on my phone, but I don’t get the purpose because I already had the Apple restrictions, if you are a parent trying to look for an app like this one I would recommend a different App. This app it’s like a baby hanging on your leg. It’s not gonna leave. Worst app ever please don’t get. hope this app dies off.🪦

Dear Qustodio, i am a 14 year old boy and on my own, i figured out that if you are a kid and want to turn it off, all you have to do is go to Settings> General> VPN & Device Management then just take it off from there. you should definitely ban this method even though it notifys the parents when you do this. Also, i do suggest warning the app users that lots of apps require NO VPNs. i recommend creating a page that opens when the parent first signs into the app that warns them about that. please don't make that page a 20 page essay because no one will read it and just skip it. i really recommend doing this because i've had to do lots of research figuring out how to use apps that require no vpn. i am really greatful and thank you for such and amazing and safe app!

this app is horrible from a child and it completely invades my privacy, not even just screen time but every text and call i make can be seen. i really feel invaded and uncomfortable.

i understand but….
look, i understand parents are protective and want a way to help their kids but does it need to be so buggy? on an iphone it removes all my widgets when i run out of time which means i spend a chunk of screen time the next day fixing it! and currently none of my apps can open thanks to running out of time YESTERDAY and that affecting my phones software meaning none of my apps will open, even if i should be able to access them. i get what this app is trying to do but really, it sucks and not just because it means my mom can see all my apps- i understand why she would want that to protect me- but because it is a bad app

Effective, if somewhat crude
I’ll say the app is effective. It does its job, and nothing outright fails to work. The only problem, as someone monitored, is that the search notifications feel somewhat all-or-nothing. Even many benign searches trigger the notification of (x was looking at y), leading to the opposite intended effect where the notification gets ignored. However, this isn’t major. I doubt there’s any good solution to this that doesn’t introduce loopholes. Hence ‘crude’. Heavy, albeit the only good way.

Privacy.
I have this app but my mother is very forgetful and forgot about this app, She forgot the password, and she told me to delete it. I cannot. Which infuriates me. My YouTube is blocked. Considering I am a grown teenager. This app does nothing to help restrict kids. I have friends who have this app and have hurt themselves. Stress is already too much from homework to chores. And restricting access to friends is not a way to do it. Please delete this app.

Its not bad at all, but needs some key features
These are my thoughts
- its perfect to not bypass your own screen time limits
- i wish we could SEE what our limit is to begin with! Not to mention how much of it we've used. I always have 2 ask my dad "how much time do i have on app XYZ today?"
- i wish this also had a feature of digitally asking parents for extra screen time. That way they can just get a notification on their phone and approve or decline for more
- I think I'm speaking on behalf of a lot of parents that the prize is just a TEENY BIT too high
Thanks! Decent app, but doesn't deserve the 5 stars quite yet. I truly think that by adding some of the features I suggested , this app (both Parent and kid side), can work itself up closer to 5
