this app is atrocious
Works well
App works fine, easy to set up and login. The old climbs are already being recreated in the new app.
Deserves negative stars
Can’t register or reset password because the app can’t send out a simple email.
Worse and worse
This app even after multiple updates over the past 4 months that it’s been released still can’t do basic functions correctly. I was willing to give you all some slack at first but the lack of actual improvements to the app is really getting frustrating.
Fix the app!!!
If you’re going to force all kilter board users to use a new app, at least have it ready to use. For some reason all the climbs in my app were showing up with no matching and now the climbs themselves aren’t even appearing anymore. Climbs with thousands of ascents are just for no longer appearing for me. Truly a great user experience

Ruined the Kilter Board
Congratulations, you ruined the Kilter Board and made it unusable. Climbs are gone. The few remaining are unusable. Swiping keeps repeating the same climbs over and over, or not switching climbs. Can’t see what climbs are on the board. Constant glitches disabling everything. My gym is removing the Kilter Board because nobody uses it.

Terrible decision
Old app was perfect. I don’t know why they decided to do this but should’ve stayed with old developer and system. This one is glitchy, and the grade ranges are not what anyone wants
Still doesn’t have basic functionality
There’s still no way to log attempts on a climb without sending. Any comments on an attempt become locked and can’t be edited on future attempts. Therefore there’s no way to track projecting, which is the whole point of training on this board
Great if you hate climbing
Horrible app. Where to begin .. all grades are off, disorganized, can’t log route grades, can’t filter by hold type, all consensus grading seems is gone, profile options are lacking, etc. I only have a kilter board to train on so the app is basically useless when it comes to working routes, which is unfortunate. I’m upset writing this so I will stop, but be ready to be frustrated and wish you had a tension board

All older problems missing
This is the worst board set up now, all the old problems are missing now, the new setting is pure garbage. Kilter truly messed up with their app lunch and dispute settlement on the old app!! The board seems utterly useless, thanks for moon board in the gym!!!
Terrible App
Logging doesn’t work as it logs everything as other than the grade you give it. Filters are missing from the old app. Terrible ui and basically unusable
Homewall Review
Doesn’t seem like they are trying to hard with the homewall yet. The consensus grading doesn’t reflect the problem grade/search function for the selected wall angle. Constantly getting sandbagged at 40*. Have to verify every climb before getting too frustrated on a problem.
One issue
Im enjoying the app as it is for now, but I have one issue:
Connecting to boards is weird right now; you have to select a climb, select a board, then back out of the climb and go back into the climb. Only then will it light up the board

People need to relax
App works great and is significantly better than the old one, especially as these updates roll out
Add delete option for posted climbs
Accidental posting and would like to delete climbs. Also, default save as draft for set climbs
Worst Board App Availability Right Now
I used to complain about the moon board app. Now it looks like gold compared to this one. It’s been weeks since the release and you still can’t do basic things like light a climb up on the board. There are soooo many climbs that just don’t work on boards they’re supposed to work on. And that’s just one of a myriad of issues. Kilter claims that some things have been fixed, and I wish that was the case. It’s still a hot mess on my end.

Downgrade and seeming lack of transparency
New app is a major downgrade and there seems to be a lack of transparency around what actually happened.
Switch was pointless
The old app was fine, dawg!
Rushed, but functional
Needs work, but gets the job done. If there’s enough parts was an easy way to report issues it could be excellent with a few updates.
App doesn’t really work
I get that this is basically in beta but this is…essentially non functional. Kilter board is out of commission til this is fixed. Kinda ridiculous that a company would sell such an expensive and large physical product, and have it so tied to a mobile app they don’t control, to let themselves wind up in this position, but here we are. Back to tension we go I guess
