Easy to Track Attendance

Once you’re registered correctly, it’s really easy to use. I like that I don’t have to keep track of the days my kiddo attends daycare. Especially since I pay by the day. You just click on the month you want to see and it shows clock in/clock out times or “absent.” It crashes once in awhile but the daycare is able to manually enter later. Overall, good choice.

Works most of the time

The app works pretty well except the UI is stretched to the edges of the screen so when I try to add a note for example, I can’t tap done or cancel because they are at the top of my screen where I can’t touch them

Hot garbage

How this passed any sort of QA or usability testing is beyond me.

QR scan to register is horrible. Needed to whisper calming words of affirmation for 10 minutes to even get it recognized by my camera.

Please do better. QR codes are a solved problem.

It won’t work

It won’t let me log in or nothing I try many time but it’s still the same

Frustrating

When I scan the QR code for registering my device I am told I first need to register my device. We got the KinderSign app to work for my significant others phone except there isn’t a sign in button showing available for him. Our child care relies on this for us to sign I children in and out and we can’t do that because the apps don’t seem to work on our IPhone 13 or Galaxy S21 or Galaxy note 9.

Doesn’t work anymore

Please update this app. It won’t let me scan my child into daycare anymore and says she does not exist anymore which is a problem with state assistance when you can’t prove your child’s attendance.

I would give it 0 starts if I could

The app is horrible, it works when it wants to. I’m always in the phone with them trying to troubleshoot the problem, just for it to stop working again 5 days later

Sticky back button

Easy to download. The back button doesn’t work sometimes and the header is so high that it cuts off at the top.

Back button is behind iOS “search”

If you find the app via search and open it, the back button is behind the “search” button to return to the iOS search. Move the app’s back button down.

Stopped working

Not sure what the problem is since my baby sitter says that they app is working just fine with everyone else, but anytime I try to sign in or out a kid it doesn’t do anything so I uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would fix it but now it’s stuck on the scan qr page and won’t do anything.. super frustrating..
other wise was a good app, was easy to sing in and out ect.

Glitchy

It’s stuck on the “scan QR code screen” and won’t work anymore. Even deleting and reinstalling the app didn’t fix it. I don’t see an option to contact customer service so I guess a 1 star review is the only option?

Edit 1: talked to customer service. They were not helpful, recommending the only fix would be to reformat my iPhone and start over. Might look up who at WA state handles this contract and let them know the company isn’t meeting it’s obligations.

Edit 2: completely reset and then restored my phone. The app still doesn’t work.

What you are describing is not normal behavior for the app. You absolutely should have not have to go through such lengths in attempts to make it work. This is built really poorly

No device screen size testing so many buttons don’t work on iPhone X.

App gets disconnected once per year. Re-registering is a headache. And the latest design changes are somehow worse than the old version.

Clearly the type of app sold to administrators who haven’t used it, and appears to be built by the lowest bidding subcontractors.

Government overreach

Should not have to install an app so that the government can track when my kid is in daycare!!!

Thank you for your review. This app is not meant for all daycares, it is only to be used for childcare subsidy cases.The app is used to track attendance for children in care who are receiving childcare subsidy. Times are collected to automatically calculate appropriate payment amounts.

App no longer

App no longer lets you enter a time that is before when you scan so if you forget to log someone in or out you can’t do later. This has been going on since the last update. I already deleted and re-downloaded the app and it’s still not working right.

Awful app, awful customer service

Constantly crashes, only saves parts of the data that gets put in throughout the month. Customer service is rude and says “best of luck to ya” when it glitches and deletes the entire month’s worth of information. I have spent 15 hours over the last 3 days fighting against this glitch (it delete the info as soon as I press “save”), just to have customer service say that’s it’s a very common issue and best of luck fighting against it. Absolutely ridiculous.

Should not need a separate app for attendance

Stupid to need a second app just for attendance.

Thank you for your review. KinderSmart is a completely optional app. If you do not want to use it, you can use the KinderSign app on the tablet at your childcare provider's location. It will take care of all your attendance needs.
