⭐☆☆☆☆ Unsafe Ride + Misleading Wait Times = Terrible Experience
Let’s start with The Racers — which was an absolute nightmare. First off, the seatbelt was so tight, I could barely breathe. I’m not exaggerating. It felt like it was cutting into my stomach the entire ride. I told the ride attendant it felt too tight, and all I got was a shrug and a quick, “That’s normal.” Well, if normal means feeling like you’re strapped into a medieval torture device, then sure.
Once the ride started, things got even worse. It was extremely rough, loud, and chaotic. I understand it’s a wooden coaster and they tend to be a little bumpier, but this one felt like it was actively trying to shake me apart. Every turn slammed me to the side, my back was jostled non-stop, and I honestly couldn’t wait for it to be over.
And just when I thought I was free — my seatbelt jammed and wouldn’t come off. I was literally stuck in the seat while everyone else walked away. I waved down an employee who eventually came over and unlatched it manually, with zero urgency and no apology. It made me wonder how often this actually happens. The whole experience felt unsafe and outdated. I left that ride feeling bruised, sore, and frustrated.
As if that wasn’t enough, we also tried to ride The Beast, and that was its own letdown. The wait time on the Kings Island app said 15 minutes, which seemed manageable. But by the time we got there and got in line — we ended up waiting over 32 minutes. I don’t mind waiting for rides, but when your app says 15 and it turns out to be more than double that, it just feels dishonest. We planned our day around the posted times, and that completely threw things off.
I came to Kings Island expecting a fun day full of thrills, but instead I got inaccurate information, unsafe rides, and staff who didn’t seem to care. If this is what they consider acceptable in 2025, I won’t be coming back — and I won’t be recommending it to anyone either.
Do better, Kings Island.
old version was better

This app has problems
awful
Wait times rarely close
Bad app
Could not make any less sense
Buggy as heck
An occasional “Error 336” or “Error 16” are thrown in for good measure. Map filters? 0 results. “Add passes or tickets” for tickets and passes purchased? None to be found. The park is open for the season but the app’s functionality? Closed until further notice.
I love kings island but
One of the worst examples was the Queen Stunt Coaster. The app said it was a short wait, but it turned out to be one of the longest lines in the entire park. It was a total mess. On top of that, the ride itself desperately needs more rows of seats added — it’s ridiculous how slow the line moves because so few people can get on at a time. No wonder the wait feels endless.
It’s extremely frustrating to walk across the entire park based on the app’s “updates” only to find out you’ve been lied to. It throws off your whole schedule and completely ruins the experience, especially if you’re trying to make the most out of your visit.
If this app can’t provide accurate, real-time information, it shouldn’t advertise that feature at all. It’s misleading and makes everything way more stressful than it needs to be. Until they fix the accuracy of the wait times and the park makes improvements to rides like Queen Stunt Coaster, I would not recommend using this app at all. You’re honestly better off guessing.
