Good app
You need to link Dropbox but that isn’t a issue so it’s a very good app to use
Malware
This app is fake. It pretends it will offer you a paid, personal wiki-making service. In reality, it just demands that you link to Dropbox to use Dropbox functionality to organize your notes. It provides no service at all. Should be deleted from app store.
Abandonware
This was a good app but hasn’t been updated for awhile.

App starts out making you log into dropbox. If you don’t, it doesn’t let you do anything.
Just started using
TrunkNotes is gone so I am looking for a good alternative. So far, there is nothing quite like TrunkNotes but Kiwi seems to be the closest.
It's easy to create, edit, and link notes and format. It's visually appealing and unlike Bear, Kiwi hides all markup when not in edit mode. Backing up to dropbox occurs in the background when editing or creating notes seamlessly, you don't even notice other than at the top of the app it will indicate it.
Just a few negatives:
-App crashes when copy and pasting.
-Unable to edit page names
-When editing a new page in landscape have to hit return a few times to see what you are typing.
-When editing a page in landscape, sometimes need to hide keyboard for page content to appear.
A lot of what I miss from TrunkNotes:
(and this is no fault of Kiwi but more of a feature request)
- {{toc}} Easily create a table of contents of a note. Haven't figured out if creating a same page bookmark is even possible with KiWi.
- @action items: The ability to create action items such as ToDo's, bills, etc.. where you can have action items in multiple notes and display them all together in another note. I created a Home Page in TrunkNotes that listed all of my action items from Contacts, Bills, ToDo's, etc so I could see everything on one page and each action item linked back to it's page where you can edit it or mark it complete.
- CSS: The ability to create templates customize notes with CSS. One small example is with Kiwi you are stuck with blue and red highlighted links. Can't change it even with html.
- Subpages, Headers, option to encrypt and password protect specific pages.
- Timestamps: No timestamp option. Also, in TrunkNotes was able create a current time/date in the header page and in single notes so I always had the date visible.
Kiwi does seem like the best option for me but one other concern is the future of Kiwi. Will it continue to be supported for years to come? It's been almost a year with no update and apparently has just one developer. The positive is it's easy to access and move content to a new app if need be.

The description does not make it clear that Dropbox is required. You cannot store the wiki on your phone and that is unacceptable.

The description doesn't make this clear, but it *requires* you to link a Dropbox account. I couldn't find a way to proceed without linking one.

Open source wiki
Excellent open source option for a personal wiki. Hoping for few developments (index, recent changes ...) but a solid base to work from. In the spirit of the wiki way.
One of My Essentials
This is one of my favorite apps for iOS. Despite not being the only personal wiki app, it is the most simple to use while still being flexible.
Compared to Trunk Notes, it’s a lot easier to use and way more visually appealing. While Trunk Notes has more technical features, they are employed in such a visually messy way that I am deterred from using it. Kiwi is a lot more committed to the iOS UI. However, I do think that there are things that the Kiwi developer can learn from Trunk Notes.
Other than Trunk Notes, I have never used another personal kiwi, be it tiddlywiki or Quine. This app has me set for life. I can use it for to-do lists, contact books, taking notes, journals etc. It is one of the most dynamic apps I have. While it took me a while to figure out the markdown, I learned it very quickly.
While I commend the developer on making such a fantastic app, I do have a few suggestions to make the experience even better:
- Have another option on the keyboard shortcut bar for horizontal rules (the dashes)
- Allow Wifi-Sharing like Trunk Notes or other ways to access wiki from PCs
- Allow subpages and page tags like in Trunk Notes
- Allow multiple separate wikis that you can toggle between
- Allow video or audio embeds
- Allow personalization in terms of the app’s color scheme
Also, a bug:

not bad, but where is print? - UPDATED
OK, tried to use it again. Every time I tried to delete a page it crashes. Tried to delete a page and I also lost all changes I made in the home page.
This is open source I believe, but if you’re going to offer it up in the App Store, at least make it stable. Not a happy camper.
At this point I would say that it’s unusable.
It’s not bad, and I like the formatting, but no print option is a deal breaker.
Getting info in is half the battle, I need to share some of this with the outside world.

The Best Personal Wiki so far
This is the best implementation of a personal wiki on iOS so far, Can't wait to see what this app will become, hope the developer will continue to update.

kiwi is really great - it's simple (opinionated sync to dropbox), clean (beautiful, subtle green theme), and works seamlessly.
