Bait and switch
I understand it’s the way of the world to make money, but how many people did they lie to about the lifetime version? I wouldn’t pay for this app again even if it did my knitting for me, burn me once, shame on you…I’m not getting burned again.
So Useful
It’s quite complicated at first because it is so comprehensive in its features and I’m still nowhere near as proficient as I’d like to be. It took me quite some time to unravel how to add my extensive library of magazine patterns. I ended up downloading VFlat scanner and from its ‘share’ I can now directly choose knitCompanion.
Great for knitting
knitCompanion
Awful UX
Game changer!
Not like the older version
Then you came out with this one. Not half as good as the original.
And, as I decided to bite the bullet and see if the benefits of the original were buried, I tried to import all the patterns I had in the original. No way to do that.
So I still use what you call legacy version, I call it perfection. The new one? Meh!
Womp womp
Awful UX design m, better options out there
For something that’s positioned as a premium knitting companion tool, it feels like it hasn’t kept up with modern app standards. There are plenty of other knitting apps out there that are easier to use, more polished, and frankly, cost less.
At this price point, I expected something much more streamlined and user-friendly. I wouldn’t recommend spending the money on this one when better options exist.
Game changer
I wish we could just buy it once rather than one semi annual renewal. I think that’s a bit steep.
Easy to use but a few small bugs
It’s still worth the subscription price, but would be nice if the counts were 100% accurate.
WOW!
Best Knitting Helper
Not bad but could use some improvement
$30 a year isn’t bad.
