Not for large projects

While I like the software is great for smaller charts, it's an absolute pain if you're trying to use it for large charts (like a c2c chart).

There is no hand exclusion, so when you go to zoom in/out (or even just move around in the chart), you end up drawing random cells.

There is no way to select and move cells without cut/pasting them. This would be okay - I guess - if the selection tool didn't work in the least helpful way possible.

You have to select the exact dimensions of the area you copied or cut if you want it to paste correctly - else it cuts off edges. You can move your selection box around, which helps mitigate this, but if you have to move to a different area of the chart or zoom in/out, the selection box often disappeared (ref back to poor hand exclusion).

Also, if your selection box is less than a 5x5 grid, you often cannot move it without changing the size of the selection.

Also also, if you try to precisely move a selection box, it will take that holding down on the selection and will open a menu for changing the color of the stitches in the selection. This is infinitely irritating.

You can flip/mirror stitches around both x and y axis, but there is no way to rotate them 90° (but you can rotate the chart 90°, but you still have to redraw the object you want in that orientation).

I paid for the pro version, and I really wanted to like this app. But it’s just very frustrating to use for what I need it for.

Keeps crashing

I’ve had to restart several times

I’ve owned it for years

I love it it’s perfect

Bad

Keeps crashing out and closing on me

Ersteindruck

nice overall

but is there any way to make charts bigger than 500x500?? please help😭

Great Knitting Tool

I have been using this app for a few years now. It makes keeping track of my progress easy. It is nice to have my patterns accessible in a tidy location. I can keep notes for the next time I use the pattern. I recommend the app to everyone who knits or crochets.

Perfect for designing knitted rugs

I knit rugs for family and friends and this app enables me to make unique, individual designs

I use KC on almost every project

I love this app. The developer is great, he listens if you have problems. It is perfect for keeping track of rows, especially on charts.

Instantly hard to use

Is this an app? A document? When I open the app my saved files open on my phone. When I go to make a chart the lines I entered are being doubled. The chart doesn’t start with row 1 but with the total number of rows I want. I want to start with stitch 1 and then go to stitch 2, not start from stitch 26.

absolutely hate it .

dont recommend .

Disappointed

Paid to use the non mirror feature , only works some of the time
Waste of money from my point f view

Not for designers

Written instructions do not work correctly for right side/wrong side when switching from flat to in the round. They read from left to right instead of right to left, but knits and purls are not reversed.

This was a waste of money.

Wonderful app, pencil notation clunky

Knitting chart is freaking amazing! I bought the full version because it is SO worth the money. I can make my own charts (even for crochet!!), I can import images and turn them into charts, organize my projects, add as many counters as I need for a project…and so much more. I do wish that the notations worked a little better. It’s near impossible to do any kind of writing on PDFs with my Apple Pencil. I really hope that this function gets updated at some point, because then I could really delete every other knitting app on my iPad. Everything else works so well, so it would be nice to get it writing properly as well.

Opens Automatically

Whenever I open my files on my iPad, the app opens automatically and I am not using the app. I have to remove the app to open my files. Sorry I paid for the pro version.

So lost

I am so lost with this app. The home page seems to be my google drive? Unfortunately I paid for the pro version but have regrets. I just wanted an app that can download rivalry patterns but I can’t find anything specific on how to convert them into this app without it being just the download in my drive. Totally confused here. I have been using my procreate to keep track of my rows. Thought there may be something better out there….

Good, but could be great with some improvements

Truly a good app that helps me keep track of my many knitting and crochet projects and patterns, well worth the cost. My biggest complaint is the fact that the writing tool doesn’t work very well. It’s incredibly awkward and choppy, making it difficult to jot down a quick note with my Apple Pencil. Devs, if you could please fix this I’d be so delighted to change my 4 stars to 5

Unhelpful

Probably the least informative app I’ve used and it seems that unless one upgrades there is no point in keeping it !!

Incredible

Seeing a lot of people moaning about the free version asking you to subscribe. Let’s stop morning about adverts on free things and start paying people for
Their work

I have the full pro-version one off price and it is epic
