What free trial?
Response from developer
Thank you for downloading Quilt Geek! I'm sorry to hear about the confusion with the subscription. The 7-day free trial is specifically for the yearly subscription option. If you selected a monthly or 3-month subscription, those do charge immediately as they don't include a trial period. This information is also clearly communicated in the app when you're selecting your subscription option. During the purchase process, the app store always shows a confirmation window that clearly displays exactly how much you'll be charged and when (including whether a free trial is included). This gives you a chance to review the details before completing the purchase. If you selected the yearly subscription and were charged immediately without receiving your 7-day free trial, that would definitely be an error. Please reach out to us directly at hello@designedtoquilt.com and we'll help investigate what happened. We appreciate your feedback and want to make sure you have a great experience with Quilt Geek!
Love the Calculators

Thank you so much for the kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you're enjoying the calculators and finding the app helpful for your quilting projects. Happy quilting!
Misleading-not free!
Response from developer
Thank you for reaching out! I completely understand your concern. Just so clarify, the Binding and Backing calculators are completely free to use without any subscription. The other calculators require a subscription to access. All app subscriptions purchased through the App Store are managed directly through Apple, not within the app itself. This is standard for all iOS apps. You can find your subscriptions by going to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad. As long as you cancel before the 7-day free trial ends, you won't be charged anything. You can cancel at any time during the trial and still use the app for the full 7 days. Apple designed the subscription system this way for all apps in the App Store to keep all your subscriptions in one central location. This isn't something we as developers control, but I understand it can be confusing! If you have any trouble or questions, feel free to reach out to us at hello@designedtoquilt.com.

Unsatisfied Due to Deceptive Marketing
Response from developer
Thank you for your feedback — I’m sorry for the confusion. I want to clarify how Quilt Geek works: two calculators (the binding and backing calculators) are completely free to use forever. The App Store labels Quilt Geek as “Free” because it really is free to download and use those calculators without ever upgrading. The optional trial and subscription only apply if you’d like to unlock all of the additional 20+ calculators and features. We’ll look into making this clearer in our description so no one feels surprised. I truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience — transparency matters to us, and we’re always working on making sure quilters know exactly what to expect.
