Great app
Really helps me remember to do my exams every month, plus helped me learn a lot more about how to do them and what I should be watching for. I've recommended this app to my friends!
Not for breast cancer survivors
The app offers recurrence rates based on outdated statistics and stages. It is deeply dangerous to tell a breast cancer survivor that she/he has a 30% chance of recurrence without first asking for details about subtype of cancer and stage, and also specifying what type of recurrence. Most breast cancer survivors don’t have a 30% chance of recurring — and yet this is the information this app peddled in its very simplistic quiz.
Fear of recurrence drives depression after treatment for many breast cancer survivors. If you’re going to estimate someone’s recurrence risk, you should do it carefully, cautiously, and with a great deal of consideration as to the mental health issues that face the survivor cohort.
I unfortunately got no benefit from this app. As a breast cancer survivor, it taught me nothing I didn’t already know. And it frustrated me with its simplicity.

Knowledge is power
The videos and graphics are so incredibly helpful. I’m so grateful to know how and when to do a self exam, as well as what I’m supposed to feel and look out for. The monthly notifications you can opt into that remind you to do a self exam just might save your life!
Nice but stress provoking
I like this app a lot. It provides a lot of good information. My only issue is the reminder notification is never right. It always pops up 5 to 10 days early. I can’t figure out how to fix it. It’s unnecessary stress.
The only breast exam app you need!
This app is so easy to navigate! From the fun and colourful design to the easy to follow self-exam guides - it makes staying on top of your monthly breast-exams a no-brainer. It also comes with a period tracker, explains clearly what possible breast cancer symptoms to look for in and on your breasts, and reminds you to check yourself every month at the right time. On top of it all - it’s free and doesn’t collect your data!!! Couldn’t ask for more!! 🥳

Data disappeared
This app would be great, except after setting up my profile, entering all my date, including my company code, tracking my cycle, and completing an exam, I returned the following month for another self exam and it was all gone. I had to start from the beginning.
Risk assessment not working properly
I tried to use the risk assessment quiz & it keeps restarting in the middle of the quiz. Hopefully this kink can be worked out, otherwise love the app!
Best app for breast health information
Hands down best app for breast health information.
Great tutorial for how to do a self breast exam. How often to get a mammogram and a schedule a mammogram option that leads to an interactive of map of places near you that provide mammogram services!

Great info. App seems buggy.
I’m tech savvy, but there are a lot of non-intuitive icons in this app (“mystery meat”). Also, the main screen’s content is all overlapping for me (on an iPhone 8). The Mona Lisa video said to go to knowyourlemons.COM, but the text in the video listed the .ORG. (Hoping the organization owns both TLDs). All in all, I’m hoping there will be more updates to clean things up, so I’ll keep the app on my device for now because getting reminders for a self exam would be good. There are just some odd quality control things going on…

Great but stopped working ended up deleting due to lack of support to resolve my issue.
Never received a notification when it was time to do a breast check.
Then all of a sudden I couldn’t login. The pop up screen to enter my passcode didn’t appear. I contacted them via the help/support feature on the app but no one responded.
I then contacted them via instagram eventually I got a reply telling me to delete the app and reinstall it. That only worked for one login when I tried again I experienced the same issue. Contacted them again via instagram and got asked the usual questions, ensure that I’m using the latest version which I was. Told to delete the app which I explained I had. Then then sent me a link on how to delete the app (I’m a millennial).
I just deleted the app after months of little to no support. Just unfollowed them on instagram. I love the idea of the app but if it doesn’t work then there is no point.
On a hunt for replacement app.

Incredibly Knowledgeable
This app changed the way I view myself exams. I have sent it so to so many friends!
I really wanted to love it, but not all cancerous lumps are hard!
Hi, I really wanted to love this app and recommend it to all my friends. I downloaded it and watched the ‘How to self-exam’ video and was really disappointed to hear that they split lumps into 3 groups: hard lumps like lemon seeds, soft lumps like peas and soft lump like beans. The video then classifies hard lumps as cancerous and soft lumps as either lymph nodes or milk lobes. This is really dangerous! Not all cancerous lumps are hard. My cancer was lobular breast cancer, which often doesn’t present as a lump. Mine did present as a lump but is was soft and squishy - more like a blister. I agree that not all lumps are cancer, but if I’d watched this video, I might not have checked it out. Please correct and update your video as I’d love to give you 5 stars! 😊

Wanted it to work
Just downloaded this app and was ready to utilize it. Unfortunately I couldn’t get past the age portion of the screening quiz as it had no options but my haptic feedback was going off like it was an option to scroll for your birth year. The only numbers it would show were 39 and 40. As I am 29 this obviously now the Ed of these options would reflect my age to accurately relay my risks. Really bummed. Super cute graphics though.

Can’t enter
Can’t get in the app once I hit Enter Rock Star??
Cannot re-enter!
Great app. Good information and features. But….once I have entered the app once I cannot renter. I see the button called “enter rockstar” when I reopen the app but it does nothing. Tried reinstalling the app. Same thing. Not much good if I can’t re enter and use some of the tools.
Great app but needs tweaks
Great app and fulfils an important function. But it would be helpful to be able to adjust the timings if your cycle length varies and it would also be better if the self-check reminder stayed on your Lock Screen/showed as a wee red circle on the top right corner (whatever that’s called!) of the app icon. The reminder generally pops up at 9am, which I don’t imagine is a convenient time for many to do a self-check!

I know my lemons!
I really enjoy this app. I like that it has the option for no menstrual cycle.
I’ve always been paranoid about breast cancer as my great grandma had a prosthetic breast when I was a kid. They tell me she’s a “distant” relative and it’s not of concern but that’s not how my brain works. Now, my friend I’ve had since 2nd grade has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Thanks for making an easy tool!

Love This App!
This is such an amazing App! - Especially for me, because I am considered High Risk for Breast Cancer. Thank you for helping to save lives!
Everyone needs this app!
I was just diagnosed with breast cancer and I’m too young for a mammogram! So I began looking for an app to recommend to family and friends! They have apps for everything so why not breast exams. I love this app and wish I knew about it earlier which may have helped my situation… However, I tell all of my friends and family to use it so hopefully if they get cancer it is caught early. Highly recommend for every woman no matter the age because cancer doesn’t care how old you are and it’s happening to younger women!!!
