Zero functionality without paid subscription
I’m not sure how this app can be listed as “free with in app purchases” when the only thing you can do for free is feed it personal information. Very disappointing.
Not worth it, go use Finch
Yet another app that is locked behind a paywall...just go download Finch instead, it's free and accessible to everyone, and provides aid in paying for the premium Finch version (that is slightly better than the free version, but the free version already has so much you can do!)
great app! just didn’t get to access it 😢
i had to pay when i joined, which was a bummer. i set up my goals and named my Koda, which was very nice! Although i didn’t get to access the app, it was nice trying it. Based on pictures, family and friends, the app seems pretty well organized and designed. It would be nice if the app could let you skip payments and maybe grant you a free trial for 3 days. Other than having to pay, the app seems quite a great help with self care and other personal necessities. i am not writing this review to be mean about any of the payments at all! this app seems pretty good and i would like to try it out some day!

I can’t add goals
So I downloaded this app hoping for some nice self care but I can’t even add goals, I’ve reset my phone, uninstalled and installed again but nothing seems to work. This is honestly kind of frustrating.

It’s a lovely idea but there’s no free option or free trial or anything like that. U don’t really get a taste of what u are paying for. Plus no free option for a self care app is a tiny bit sleazy idk??
Would be amazing but...
I absolutely loved the idea of this and was so excited that Ghibli fans could have a special way to stay on track but unfortunately you have to pay as soon as you get it and you can't use it without paying. It's not good for someone who is unable to pay, like me. This is such a shame because it would be such an amazing change for a lot of people

It doesn't even let you test it out to get a feel for how it works whatsoever before being hit with a paywall, that's a red flag for me

Koda is the digital hug I didn't know I needed! Most wellness apps feel like a lecture, but Koda feels like a cozy friend. I love that there's no pressure or guilt, just gentle encouragement to take a small step for myself each day. The forest spirit theme is incredibly soothing and actually makes me want to check in on my mental health. It’s very kid-friendly too as my kids are using the soothing sounds every single day!
If you’re looking for a peaceful, anxiety-free way to build better habits, this is it. Five stars for my new favorite companion!

a calm escape 🍃
this app makes self-care feel simple and gentle instead of overwhelming. the mini apps are great as well!! they help you slow down and reset. i’ve tried a lot of apps, but koda is the one i keep coming back to! totally worth it 🤍
Cute and Functional
This is a first day impression. I don’t like having to pay, but decided to with a discount, and the fact that I really like the UI and simplicity. I have already submitted some ideas for new features. I think the current features are great and there’s not too many bogging down the app. However a few changes to some of them would just be an improvement to the UI. I have some more ideas I’m going to submit, but I have searched for a self care pet game and this one I like the look and feel of the most.

Misleading
Free app but can’t actually use it without a subscription which it doesn’t mention before you download, wasted my time answering all the questions just to get stuck behind a paywall at the end.
